We can only reflect what the majority of other reviewers have said - this is seriously good food served without pretence. How it should be done. Can't recommend enough to people who like (lots of) top notch food with soul. Came with friends and will...More

Great food, reasonable prices, good service. This is a restaurant that changes from cafe to restaurant certain nights of the week. So always check it’s opening hours.

Really a fantastic meal with great service in a charming place with lovely atmosphere. Raspberry martini for first drink is highly recommend, onion bargi for start, partridge for main and bakewell tart with ice-cream to finish. Nothing to complain about, was excellent quality and generous...More

Yet again the Walpole goes above and beyond. The flavours on my tomatoe starter exploded around my mouth. The Wagyu with Boston beens was mouth watering, and very satisfying. Not sure where I put it but the homemade ice cream selection was just the best....More

This is without doubt a peculiar place to eat, not least because it is currently open only on Friday and Saturday evenings. More research is necessary to establish the history of the restaurant. It's part of a Victorian terrace in South Ealing and the decor...More

I'd been meaning to visit this restaurant for a long time, and having finally been, I cannot say how excellent it was. Reserving a table (an absolute must) over the phone was efficient and friendly, and I liked that they called me on the day...More

First of all, easy to get to if you are visiting London. Take the Central Line to the terminus at Ealing Broadway. After leaving the Tube Station, turn right go 40 feet and catch the 65 bus. Get off at the second stop and continue...More

Having read the reviews I was looking forward to the food at this restaurant. The impressive blackboard of reasonably priced premium wines is extremely rare. None of your four times mark up. We dined as a family of five, 3 adults and two children. Admittedly...More

I have visited the Walpole for over 15 years. Louis and Wendy are brilliant hosts serving meals using the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is always welcoming with very friendly staff. I enjoyed the Norfolk Asparagus, Supreme of Sea bass with Puy lentils and Sicilian tomatoes,...More

Returning from a holiday in the Philippines we were in need of great food so we meandered to the Walpole. As usual it was delicious. Seasonal food featured with asparagus as one of the starters and rhubarb in the dessert. Fish is always a delight...More

Description
The Walpole was established in 2001 and serves Dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. We are fully licensed. Marco Pierre White (the first British chef to be awarded 3 Michelin stars), interviewed in the Independent, said that The Walpole in Ealing is his favourite restaurant. The Evening Standard also named us one of the best places in West London. Our dinner menus change weekly using seasonal produce from Smithfield Meat Market and New Covent Garden, Nine Elms. We use Romney Marsh Lamb from Jamie Wickens, Winchelsea Beach, East Sussex. Our latest menu can be found on our Facebook page each week. For tables of 6 or more we require credit card details, and reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £27.95 per person for any no-shows or if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the booking.
