First of all, easy to get to if you are visiting London. Take the Central Line to the terminus at Ealing Broadway. After leaving the Tube Station, turn right go 40 feet and catch the 65 bus. Get off at the second stop and continue...More

Having read the reviews I was looking forward to the food at this restaurant. The impressive blackboard of reasonably priced premium wines is extremely rare. None of your four times mark up. We dined as a family of five, 3 adults and two children. Admittedly...More

I have visited the Walpole for over 15 years. Louis and Wendy are brilliant hosts serving meals using the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is always welcoming with very friendly staff. I enjoyed the Norfolk Asparagus, Supreme of Sea bass with Puy lentils and Sicilian tomatoes,...More

Returning from a holiday in the Philippines we were in need of great food so we meandered to the Walpole. As usual it was delicious. Seasonal food featured with asparagus as one of the starters and rhubarb in the dessert. Fish is always a delight...More

Having regularly eaten her for over 15 years I just have to say how professional and polite both the owners are. We now live over an hour away but for the this level of service and Great British food as good as this I'd travel...More

Strange review from Amal This restaurant is in my view superb and the customer service some of the friendliest in town, we eat here regularly and you wont find a friendlier place in town. However there is a credit card requested on group bookings as...More

Haven't eaten here but am writing this negative review based on my experience when trying to reserve a table. The man on the phone (who I discovered is the owner) was incredibly rude and patronising. To book a table for 5+ people, you have to give...More

Dear Amals26 I am sorry you feel as if you were rudely treated in this instance. As discussed during our third call today as we are a small neighbourhood restaurants and large group bookings mean we have to turn other people away we do take...More

I have visited before, a few years ago, so knew what to expect. We shared two starters between four of us and they were both huge (baked Brie and pork and pistachio terrine). Both the men in our party had the lamb, my sister had...More

Amazing food as always served in a friendly atmosphere with little fuss. Be warned the portion sizes are huge, but the quality is amazing.

Visited here on a Friday evening - a little unsure at first as we were the first ones there but we later realised we had just booked early and the restaurant was full by the end of the night! Portions were HUGE but the staff...More

Description
The Walpole was established in 2001 and serves Dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. We are fully licensed. Marco Pierre White (the first British chef to be awarded 3 Michelin stars), interviewed in the Independent, said that The Walpole in Ealing is his favourite restaurant. The Evening Standard also named us one of the best places in West London. Our dinner menus change weekly using seasonal produce from Smithfield Meat Market and New Covent Garden, Nine Elms. We use Romney Marsh Lamb from Jamie Wickens, Winchelsea Beach, East Sussex. Our latest menu can be found on our Facebook page each week. For tables of 6 or more we require credit card details, and reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £27.95 per person for any no-shows or if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the booking.
