Small portions, an hours wait between servings, unremarkable food, wedged in a table sharing plates with strangers. Expensive drinks. Came out still hungry and skint. A rubbish night, you would be better off at the local chippy.

With so many options for brunch in Balham, Brother Marcus is one of my favourites. Always a slight wait as it’s so popular, but usually great service and delicious food. My favourite is the Brother Special. Some of the best tasting salmon I’ve ever had....More

Really nice brunch. Good strong coffee, enjoyable main dishes and excellent selection of desserts. I recommend the custard tarts :-) Will be back!

Visited here with my daughter whilst visiting before going to Twickenham to watch Harlequins and Wasps. My daughter had raves about the belly pork brunch she had had a week or two earlier. She was disappointed as it did not match her experience previously. I...More

We had the most amazing brunch here last week. We came in early and got a table right away, though later some people were queuing up. The place is small, as I find that most London cafes are, but warm and cosy. The menu had...More

I came here with my wife a couple of Sundays ago. I had the step sister - sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters, avocado and spinach, kale, turmeric yoghurt & a poached egg. All delicious although the fritters were a bit bland and everything was...More

Just go with the flow and stick it out in the queue. Maybe have a coffee to take your mind off the waiting because this isn’t too big a place. With intriguing drinks like a Sugar Daddy and old school music in the background, this...More

This place was recommended by a friend and it was just great. The food is brilliant and they have wonderful Earl Grey tea. Very popular so I shall look for a quieter time to come.
