A RECENTLY REFURBISHED restaurant that I visit almost every week. I love the lunch menu , what a value !! What amazes me is that they have Greek young chefs cooking. As s Greek myself I enjoy watching them cooking.

Nothing much to add except that the food was pretty good even though it took around 30 minutes for the food to get to our table. They made mistake in the order and never offered to take it off the bill. It was towards the end of the night. Would go there again for the food.

I was passing by and just noticed the sign "The Real Greek". Was slightly peckish and being Greek myself thought I'd do a quick stop for some souvlaki and Greek salad. Both were excellent and worthy to be served in Greece, which not typically the case for Greek restaurants in the UK. I'll definitely be visiting again.

They should rename this place the Scary Greek....My wife and I visited recently for lunch. We were served fairly quickly with the Tzatziki dip and crudites, and my wife's glass of wine was also brought to the table. We ordered our main courses and sat for 40 minutes. Occasionally the waitress drifted past on her way to serving the only... More

Perfect light dinner and sharing plates. My wife and I had lamb and chicken kabobs, couscous salad, and humous. Baklava for dessert. Baklava was the best we've had. Two big pieces, moist not dry. Good food at a reasonable price.

Myself and two colleagues work on Baker Street and have always passed this restaurant but this time decided to give it a go. What can I say, this is a hidden gem in London for a good hearty lunch. The lunch special is only £8.95 and is fresh, hearty and above anything else tasty., It has a friendly warm atmosphere... More

Food was delicious and fresh. However, the waiter appeared to be running the whole place on his own. He was very sweet and helpful, but as he had several other tables to wait we had to wait almost half an hour to first get, and then pay the bill. There was another waitress who was on the door for some... More

As I Greek I can testify the food was delicious and atmosphere authentic. And a selection of fine Greek wines was a welcome surprise!

Eat here recently and was disappointed! Overcrowded and the mezes were not equal. One end of the table got eggplant and falafal while the other end missed out! It was that way for most of the food. Food was good but unequal in the portions. Why put three mini-lamb chops for a table of four people!!

An enjoyable experience with plenty of variety. Wine not bad. Metaxa essential. Service better than good. Will go again.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
