The proposition is really interesting. Greek food in Mezze. Service in a contraption that holds many plates. So they can bring 12plates on a table for 4 without taking all the space. Food was really good. But the service was not. Our waiter brought wrong plates twice. But did not forget to bill all the wrong ones. Nearly absent for... More

Went for a dinner for 2 on a very hot sunny weekday evening, booked a table and when we got there we asked if we could sit outside in on the terrace we were told there was a wait and invited to go to the bar. By the time we had our drinks there was a table for 2 ready... More

I'd never been into any of the "Real Greek" restaurants until a few months ago, when I visited this one, a hop, skip and a jump from Shakespeare's Globe. The Real Greek is about sixty yards downriver from the theatre and a very good place to martial one's forces before a performance. I've been three times, now, and I like... More

4 of us came here for lunch. Good service and delicious food, beautifully presented. Prices quite reasonable. Would definitely come again if in the area!

Went last night when passing . Waited a few minutes at the bar while they found us an outside table. Really nice food and wine. There was live Greek music which we really enjoyed. Staff were friendly. Very good value.

The Real Greek was both unexpected (we tripped over it on our way to Tate Modern) & unexpectedly good (expectations of food in what is very much "tourist central" aren't high). However we had a great lunch and would certainly go back. Half a dozen Meze items with some flat bread was plenty for us, washed down with ouzo and... More

Attracted by a waiter offering samples of freshly barbecued Greek sausage. Very welcoming, worth getting a window seat (or outside) for great views.

I've eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants, including those in Athens, and I decided to try The Real Greek - Bankside as it was convenient to the theatre I was attending that night. Rather than the usual plate of food as I've found everywhere else, this restaurant serves something closer to sampler sizes, with recommendations that the diner choose... More

We sat outside with a view of all of the activity on the Thames; it was quite memorable. The food is OK too--- we had fewer dishes than recommended, but we had plenty to eat. The octopus had a nice texture but was not top-of-the-line. Service was prompt, attentive and welcoming. For the prime location the price was quite reasonable.

Went here early before the globe, sat outside, good atmosphere, ordered loads of dishes to share, service was good not incredible, dishes all really tasty, spicy feta wonderful, lamb meatballs also incredible. Nothing exceptional but everything good and tapas-like experience just what we wanted. Would come again
