We had three Halloumi Souvlaki's and chips. They were very tasty, and very good value. The staff were friendly. The premises was big, but the decor a little hit and miss. The toilets were clean too.

Not my first visit to a real greek. So quietly new what to expect, nothing to write home about. We had a sharing set that was substantially larger than expected but overall quite bland. Tables in this restaurant are very close to one another, to maximise seating and staff were a little cold and frosty. One of the waiters wasn't... More

Very nice Greek food tapas style. All the meze dishes are super tasty. The souvlaki is delicious too. The Greek music is the background is a nice addition. Busy but food comes quick. Also, great views of the City

Great atmosphere and a lot of room for large groups and cosy corner booths for something quieter. Love the live music on Saturday nights, though it does get a bit loud, it's half the fun. Food is delicious as always and the mezze options are the best way to try a bit of everything. Souvlaki and loukaniko are especially delicious.... More

Warm welcome at the door. Quickly shown to a table. The menu is meze style, where diners choose a number of small dishes to be shared. The cold mezethes were served extremely quickly, with the hot food coming a short time later. The food was excellent, fresh and flavourful. The portions were generous, so we had quite a large take-out... More

Here on business, eaten at several places and this was the best I've had. Very quick service. Friendly, lively atmosphere. Lamb meatballs and Med chicken were excellent. You must try the Kanenas Red wine.

The Real Greek has amazing, authentic Greek cuisine. I was actually walking past on my way to eat somewhere different when the allure of grilling meat on the patio enticed me to have a sample. Once I had a free sample, I knew I had to have dinner inside. My dinner consisted of watching the sunset over the Thames with... More

Thank you to all staff who looked after us on 19th November. We were a large party of 25, including children and 2 babies. There was no problem they couldn't solve, and looked after late arrivals too. The food was very good from the Christmas menu and good value. This was a celebration lunch for my husband who died in... As Greek food goes it was truly disappointing especially as we have visited before many times over the years and always enjoyed it. The dips didn't taste fresh. The chicken skewers were dry and cold and the chips were really hard and dry too. I wanted to complain and send it back but I was out with my family and... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
