Tasty Asian food and amazing price. Service is really good, no need a reservation. Ramen, Noodles and roasted duck are the best dishes, not the sushi.

I have discovered this restaurant through their other branch on Cannon Street, where I now often get my takeaway lunch, but I think this one is their main outlet. It is not particularly large and the interior is very unpretentious. However, food is very good and rather authentic. It is not expensive, an average dish is around £10. The service... More

The location of this little gem is not difficult to find, on SOHO Brewer st and it has another one on Cannon st but shut on Sunday. I would say the shop doesn't have fancy interior, just plain tables and chairs with a sushi bar. What it can offer is beyond you can think of: huge selection of Bentos, Ramens... More

Love love love this restaurant. I am Japanese and have lived in London 20+ years and generally avoid Japanese food in London because unless you pay alot of money it tends to be disappointing. I love Taro because it has the authentic feel of a casual Japanese eatery "Izakaya". I knew as soon as I stepped in it was authentic.... More

Taro is my fav sushi restaurant in central London: convenient, great food, quick service, clean and cozy.

The place is really not adventurous as far as decor and menu choices but the food is pretty OK and the bento boxes good value for money The sashimi is small for the price

Restaurant itself is very basic and quite cramped. Food was reasonable but nothing really stood out. Good for a nice warm ramen or bento, I suppose. Service could have been better.

Awesome place. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Fast service. Problem is that i prefered the old basement place as it was cooler, and more space.

I've been here many times over the years, the sushi is fresh, and the other food is pretty authentic and more importantly tasty. They have been trying to diversify their menu over the years and now also offer some kind of fusion dishes like chinese style roast duck which is a welcome addition. The price is reasonable, although not as... More

We had a variety of sushi. Avocado and salmon rolls were delicious. The seafood noodle dish had lots of succulent pieces of octopus and the flavours were well balanced. We had some tasty chicken dumplings too. Service was friendly and efficient. The ambience is a bit lacking. It's a bit like a school canteen. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Thank Nicola J

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
