Start with service taxi left me and my partner off around the corner. Called to find out were it was the manager came out to find us and was very friendly. The food was very good the flavour in the dishes we ordered was something I have never experienced in Japanese cuisine. Overall great service and amazing food.

2 people went on a Saturday night and had an amazing time. Reserved ahead and were seated immediately. Drinks were great, sushi was so fresh and incredibly tasty! Staff was extremely accommodating and so sweet, we would go back just for staff's manners! Best sushi in london and also decent prices!

This is one expensive restaurant, but the foie gras sushi was worth the 14 pounds! The sashimi was also good, seemed fresh, and thr tofu steak was a winner! The matcha cake was nice too, moist and not very matcha pungent. The location is also accessible, close to the tube station and bus stations, just near piccadilly.

Nice place, nice people and excellent food. The sushi was fantastic, so fresh and tasty. Nice sauces to follow both fish and meat courses. Varied sake chart with sake for every taste. We will be back. Guaranteed. Highly recommended!

The freshest sashimi and beef, mouth watering flavours and excellent service. The ambience was great and watching the chefs prepare in front of you was entertaining.

The evening got off to a good start with the charming guy running front of house. He was keen to ensure we had a table to our liking and showed us the available tables upstairs and downstairs. We opted for the downstairs room which was slightly quieter. Service continued to be courteous and helpful and the food was exceptionally good.... More

I walked around the Soho/Chinatown block, and there were multiple Japanese restaurants to choose from (too many). After reviewing the menu, I decided to try So. Fortunately, my decision was a good one. The restaurant has a nice ambience (I sat at the bar), and the sushi is really fresh (definitely not the fast food type). The cost is moderate... More

This is a place that I have kept going back to. They're casual and easy with a bit of style. The location is also perfect. I always order lotus chips and their lunch menu are very good. You can ask them for a card and get a stamp every time you spent £10. If you have reach 10 stamps you... More

Modern in its minimalist use of dark wood, clean lines and bare-as-a-babas-wotsit walls, Sohos So looks every bit the contemporary Japanese restaurant. The airy ground floor bar, dining area and shop-of-sorts (Japanese crockery sits prettily in numerous display cabinets) leads down to a main dining room. The furniture there is still wooden but stained almost black. The cooking is consistently very good creative without being fussy, and much of it using organic ingredients. Menu in hand, make a visual beeline for the tempura selections (gorgeous), and then Grilled list. These knockout dishes most notably the Wagyu rump, and Iberico pork are cooked in the open kitchen over a rather special yogan-yaki grill resulting in an unique flavour. Friendly staff will knowledgeably suggest dishes and drinks.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
