This restaurant is just feet away from the underground station ( Earls Court) and we walked in for a quick lunch) We were welcomed by pleasant manager who sat us to the table and explained to us the new menu. We order succulent chicken tikka samosa chat and chicken biryani All were delicious. We had masala tea also which was... More

We were there for dinner time. The local looks great, and service is very nice and attentive. Food is relly good. We had nice "samosas", and tasty curries. All in all a place to repeat.

This Indian restaurant is in busy, frenetic Earls Court. It was terribly crowded and noisy when friends and I ate there. The food is essentially South Indian---meaning heavily vegetarian. Because the restaurant is in a somewhat touristy area with lots of hotels, I found the prices rather inflated and the interior a bit too "elegant"---rich red walls, mirrors, subdued lighting,... The Grand Thali never disappoints as the dishes (or at least the combinations) change every time I visit. Great flavours, quantity and broad variety.

Went there with few friends, however the portion size was too small for the price. Additionally I found that for an Indian restaurant there was too less choice of curries to order if a thali is not ordered. The staff were good and the decoration is good but might not go there again

Two of us arrived 21:15 Saturday 9th July 2016, plenty of tables 2 / 4 seater tables etc. available. Asked for a 4 seater, told not possible, we counted 6 such tables empty and requested one of them, again not available. We did not even see what was available in the rear half of the place. At that time of... More

Good restaurant and food is fantastic, however didn't understand the reason for charging 12.5% fees. They should have asked before charging.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
