Visited midweek for dinner with friends. Meal was OK. Pretty standard Greek food. Expensive at £80 a head with wine & a tip.

The place is not so easy to find because it is in a small road near the underground station of Queensway. Very good Greek food and the staff is polite and helpful trying always to accommodate your wishes. During the week ends is preferable to reserve.

This restaurant was only a few hundred feet from our apt rental and is off from the street. May not have found it if it had not been recommended in our apt info book from landlord. Food, service and atmosphere was very enjoyable. Moussaka and Grilled Sea Bass excellent.

We tried through delivery this Greek restaurant, actually because it s the only Greek place delivering in our area. We have been particularly positively impressed with the overall dinner: food is genuine and pretty authentic, prices are a bit high for main courses but we are in London, not in Greece unfortunately. Eggplant salad was amazing and very good also... More

We were staying on Inverness Terrace and stumbled across this place. It is very cute and quite a subtle discreet Greek restaurant. However, it is definitely very Greek and the food is delicious. They offer an extensive menu, including children's menu. Very good value and will definitely be back. The only reason I didn't give 5 is because there was... More

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening with three other family members. This was my third visit to the restaurant and I recommended to the others that we go as it had been so good previously. I have to say though that I was disappointed, the service was poor, with two of the mains the food was actually cold, they... More

We dined with couple of our friends at Kalamaras and we enjoyed our night having had a very friendly welcoming reception by the owner and the staff, followed by good Greek style dinner and a bottle of wine in a relaxing Greek setting. We would certainly return back on our next visit to London.

We order two pita and soft drinks with delivery service for 18 pounds. They forgot to bring drinks payed yet and when we called the restaurant they ignored the whole thing. We ain't order anymore. Pita wasn't so special by the way. We're still waiting for drinks. Shame on you !!!!

We were welcomed into the restaurant despite all the tables being reserved. The food there is really good. Washed down with half a bottle of Valpollicella wine and a couple of Limoncello. The staff were attentive and the Greek singer was very talented. A really great night. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant

Description
Founded in 1966 and hidden in a quiet mews off Queensway, we offer fantastic authentic Greek food with a warm welcome and friendly service. Over the years we have had many famous people regularly dine here including the Beatles, Peter Sellers and his friends, racing drivers Graham and Damon Hill, also many actors and actresses, such as Telly Savalas (Kojak), Faye Dunaway, Irene Pappas, Mick Jagger and many other well-known names of the 60’s, 70’s and the present day. But it is not just the stars; many people have always loved dining here: members of the local, international and Greek Bayswater communities, as well as students and tourists who visit London. They all like the friendly and informal atmosphere and the healthy Greek food. We invite you to join us and carry on the glorious tradition of Kalamaras.
