Dinner at L'Etoile was so, so good. The French menu has so many choices for all different tastes and I would not hesitate to eat here again. First Class cuisine ...

I looked forward to visiting this restaurant and had a voucher for 3 course meal with glass of wine. Unfortunately we ate early dinner and no atmosphere as only one other couple there. The two staff were friendly and helpful. Our meal was ok but...More

The decor and staff are both lovely but sadly it lacks the 'va va voom' atmosphere and food standard I had expected from a French bistro in this part of town. The service was also quite slow and we had a 25 minute wait between...More

We were looked after very well by the two charming staff. We had vouchers for 3 course meal with wine and, whilst the portions were on the small side, the food was tasty and well presented. Maybe being a lunchtime, the restaurant itself was very...More

Well its a French bistro with acceptable if not exciting food. It failed to impress and left us uninspired and limp but it was not bad enough to elicit a bad review. All in all ... well...OK. Would we go back - no. Would we...More

Dating from 1896 L'Etoile must be one of the oldest restaurants in London. It began as a hostel for waiters but, as the food was so good, it opened as a public restaurant in 1904 and has been serving Fitzrovia ever since. In the past...More

Wandered in last night and aghast by how incompetent the service was. Shocking for this area - not sure how they will survive. It also doesn't seem to know what it is/is trying to be. Definitely not French, in spite of its name.

This sophisticated and sociable slice of Central
London is a shopper’s paradise, offering the latest
fashions, gadgets, and souvenirs. Fitzrovia is
conveniently located between the major retail
thoroughfares of Regent Street to the west and
Tottenham Court Road to the east, with a handful of
well connected Tube stations dotted around the area
for easy transport. This neighborhood is a favorite

No. Has been and presumably is still frequented by various stars of film and stage......looking good in whatever they've chosen to wear judging by the photos on the wall.
