We were really looking forward to our lunch as we heard great things about Browns, however on this occasion I can only rate it as average. A real shame as the views from the restaurant are truly great and the restaurant itself looked really promising. The food was average, not much of a wow factor. We were a family with... More

Great location in butlers wharf , alongside river Thames not far from tower bridge. Attractive restaurant with exposed aged brick work. Staff polite and friendly. Relaxed but very smart brasserie style premises with similar menu. Service did seem a little slow but maybe that was as much due to our time limitations as anything else ?? Reasonably priced for location... More

We came across Browns Butlers Wharf by accident when the sun was out and we where walking along the river by Tower Bridge. We decided to stop for a quick cocktail which quickly turned into a delightful evening with great cocktails, delicious food and really friendly service. We will definitely be coming back when the sun returns!

This is a great place to sit, relax and take in the view of the Thames sipping a beer or cocktail (which we have previously done, both on a sunny and rainy day after sightseeing in London). However we recently went for dinner and in spite of there not being much atmosphere as the restaurant was not very busy, the... More

Our daughter bought us a mini trip to london as one of our Christmas presents. We decided to wait until March as we thought the weather might be a bit more settled. As part of our trip afternoon at Brown's was included and was booked for 3.00pm. We arrived a bit early but we're prepared to Wait, but we're welcomed... More

Having visited a nearby photo exhibition in Shad Thames, we gravitated towards a stalwart favourite, Browns, that affords a great view of the Thames even if it was a little downcast on the day. We ordered our food with Dermot who immediately demonstrated the hallmark penchant for professionalism combined with a friendly flair. The food we ordered came promptly and... More

Following a walk along the south bank of the Thames, we stopped for lunch at Browns, Butlers Wharf. Not only is this one of the best views up river in London of Tower Bridge and the city, but the food was excellent. The steak, which I believe always comes from Browns' own farms was one of the best I have... More

My best friend and I decided to go to Brown's at Shad Thames for a change last Saturday for lunch and were really glad we did. As I had signed up for the newsletter we received one free cocktail from a small choice which was nice, but as there were two of us would have been nicer if we had... More
