I am on business from bangkok and my friends over here in London took me here so I would feel at home. The food is very good and 100% just like in the restaurants in thailand. Service was also very good.

Booked based on the reviews and we are so glad we did. Some of the best Thai food I have ever had and even better than some of the dishes I had in Thailand!! Service outstanding. I very recommend the £40 3 course platter.

Having eaten Thai food all over the world I was more than pleasantly surprised by the 'chain' Thai in Greek Street. It felt like a family restaurant with friendly greeting and staff. The Tom Yum was excellent as was the Satay starter. reasonably priced wines and that level of service where you don't spend 5 minutes trying to catch the... More

Visited with a friend. The food was very nice and delicious. Had an offer from their website with a different menu but we had to ask for it otherwise they are not going to mention it to you.

Having had our fill of big restaurant meals, we opted for a Thai dinner w/ beer. Patara will not disappoint. A tiny place - the service was solicitous, the food ample and flavorful and the beer ice cold. Crispy sea bass with holy basil was terrific with nary a single bone in either of the 2 filets. Chicken in green... More

As the reviews were really good, we booked this restaurant for my daughter's 21st birthday. It's a very small restaurant and the staff were nice. We had done our research, looked at the menu beforehand. When we saw the menu, we're certain the prices are different on the website. The food was average but very tiny portions compared to other... We went to Patara on Easter Saturday with my parents who lived in Bangkok for many years, we were instantly impressed with the authenticity of the decor and the lively ambiance. We enjoyed the Patara Platter to start followed by the duck with chilli & basil, Kiewa Wan beef and the lamb shank massaman - all of it was delicious.... More

Black cod and ginger with jasmine rice and a side order of broccoli with shiitake mushrooms ... absolutely fabulous. Five of us booked in at 9pm on Good Friday and restaurant was busy but service was good. Everyone loved their meals and would happily return soon.

We were a family of 4 and everything we had ordered tasted very good. The food reminded us some good restaurants in Thailand. Relatively expensive, yet worth the money.

Description
One of a family of worldwide restaurants, London's Patara restaurant brings sophisticated Thai dining to Soho's Greek Street. Tastefully decorated with plenty of atmosphere thanks to subdued lighting, huge pots of orchids, flickering candles, silk-covered banquettes and Thai figurines inlaid with glass mosaic tiles, it's ideal for a romantic dinner for two. The Patara kitchen is ambitious, producing excellent creations of classic Thai cuisine like tom yum goong soup; beef with green curry and;, of course, pad Thai noodles. The service is renowned for its excellence and the wine list begins at a reasonably-priced level. Someone in the kitchen has an eye for beauty, too, because at Patara restaurant each dish is exquisitely arranged to delight your eye as well as your palate. Patara Thai restaurant is a haven from Soho's scruffiness; a glamorous, romantic, authentic, professional spot for an excellent dining experience.

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
