Food was nice and tasteful. However, slow service. Ambiance was nice and the place is clean. Wine was good. Would recommend if not in a hurry.

4 of us ate lunch here (our 2nd visit) just after Christmas and once again the food and drinks were good quality and fairly priced. Service was very friendly and good speed without being rushed. This is a great option for a place to eat before/after a show at the Royal Albert Hall which is only a few minutes walk... More

One of the best Hotel Breakfasts I have had for a while. Good buffet choice and ala carte. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Called in on our way back to the Crowne Plaza hotel which is just down the road. It was the atttractiveness of the menu that drew us in. I had a pie (can't remember which one) but the pastry was lovely and didn't weigh heavily in your stomach like some pastry do and my partner had the signature bbeef burger... More

A group of 11 of us visited this restaurant on 17th December. I believe that a previous management reply on here to Jacqui Swanepoel was actually responding to our group. Unfortunately for Scoff and Banter there was more than one group of dissatisfied customers for similar reasons. We had booked a table in advance and were pleased when we were... More

I met up with an old friend who I had not seen for some time. We wanted to eat and chat! The lady who served us was patient, sweet and funny! We had great difficulty in choosing Garlic-free food, which appeared to be mainly from packets which needed to be checked for garlic. But our sweet lady toddled back and... More

We ate here twice on our visit to London and enjoyed it both times as a good alternative to heavy pub food. The soup and bread plus a salad was plenty to satisfy our appetites. Service was good and pricing reasonable.

My friends and I went here for lunch - the menu is very interesting and contains several twists on british food the food itself is great as is the overall feel and decor of the restaurant. The service was poor, with frequent mistakes and wrong items being brought to the table. The 12.5% discretionary charge for service was a bit of... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
