This was our second visit to The Archduke this year, the last one was probably around early April, the waitress immediately remembered us from our last visit as we like to try quite a few of the wines in Carafes, many of their wines are available in this size and as a group of people with an interest in wine,... Great food and a comfortable atmosphere contributed to a great lunch! We met up with some old friends and can honestly say that we had a great time and the food was delicious. Two of the group ate from the set lunch menu and two from the a la carte. I started with the asparagus and poached egg - delicious.... More

My daughter and I stopped off at the Archduke on the way home to take advantage of the £5 cocktails offer. All cocktails we tried were good and the espresso martini was the best my daughter has had. We decided to have something to eat and there was no problem when we asked for one of our meals to be... More

By time we arrived we were admittedly a little bit hangry. But this was all to be put to rest with good food and lovely atmosphere aided by attentive staff. From the front it looked quiet and unassuming, but as we were taken to a table soon realised that it was a busy restaurant, but a calmness still fell over... More

Quick stop for a light bite - sat outside in the sunshine and had a really good meal. Well presented with good service.

My wife, my son and I came across this restaurant on a visit to the London Eye, which is about a 5 minute walk away. It is located underneath the railway arches and has a real jazz feel about it - intentional, as there was sybtle jazz music playing and jazz posters on the wall. The menu is extensive and... More

We went to the Archduke a couple of times before and after last night I decided to give them a review. The only thing we really like is the live music!!! The food menu is not very invited and the portions not to filling ( the lamb rack is really small) and we had to wait quite a bit for... More

Called in with our teenagers and managed to get a table. Service was slow but there was a live singer so we were entertained. We shared a steak and the kids had burgers which they loved. Our cote de boeuf wasn't really anything special, too small and at £37 too expensive for what we got. Left hungry.

I came here with some friends after work and we expected it to be very busy. We had booked a table but had arrived a bit early to get a drink first. The bar only had one person serving, bear in mind there was an offer on cocktails and most people were ordering them, it was a nightmare getting a... More

We had a fantastic meal here! The food tasted so fresh and light, and the puddings were beautiful. The cocktails were pretty impressive as well. I recommend that you go and happy hour between 5-7 as they are only £5!

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
