Very disappointed.. £71 for food my child could cook better! This used to be a great little restaurant, such a shame! Garlic bread dry and tasteless, steak was ok but vegetables were dry and cold! Crem brûlée was like rubber! My partner had Sea Bass,...the sauce was bland and had no seasoning! The staff were polite thoughMore

Have been to Bistro Franc quite often over the last few years and always been impressed with the staff and quality of food and excellent chefs GOOD GOD! How things can change We went tonight and quickly realised it had changed ownership. Although the two...front of house staff were polite, the food was atrocious! French onion soup was nothing more than sliced onion in a warm Worcestershire sauce type of liquid! Sirloin steak although was cooked correctly was mostly fat and gristle. Chips were frozen type and cherry tomatoes not even grilled and served cold from the fridge Very bad meal. I can’t see them lasting longMore

Starters OK not great. We both had vegan Wellington for main. Dry, bland, unseasoned, with soggy pastry, with a beetroot puree that didn't fit and another sauce that was sweet and would have been better on a dessert. Man on table next to us had...belly pork he struggled to cut, with a rind so hard he could not break into it and after a heroic effort he gave up and complained. He also told them his veg was stone cold and they had to replace the lot. French food should not be like this!More

We had a very pleasant meal with friendly service. However what was in the menu as oyster mushrooms and sourdough bread was just ordinary field mushrooms on poor quality white French stick. I would have liked you to admit you hadn't got the ingredients and...I could have had something else. I hope your standards aren't slipping. We've been coming here or to Pierre (and Jacques) for 20 years !More

We ate here on our last night in Liverpool but wish we could go back. The restaurant is very warm and cosy and plays french music - lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent, attentive staff and...all requests weren’t an issue for them - would highly recommend!More

Absolutely rubbish. Went for an early bird menu before a theatre visit. Managed to get drinks after 10 minutes but our main courses (no starters) hadn’t arrived in 45 minutes after ordering! We walked out as we had a show to go to. The table...next to us finally got their food after 90 minutes wait!More

We didn’t have a booking and walked in and got a table. We have been there many tomes before and was always good. Food was good but prices are a bit expensive. But when we got our bill there was an extra bottle of wine...and an extra glass of wine added to the bill. BEWARE!!!More

Firstly we was in a big group for Mother’s Day.. booked over 3 weeks before for a party of 16 for 5 o’clock had numerous emails confirming our booking we even called the day before to be told yes everything is fine we will see...you tomorrow!! We got there apparently there was no booking when I had proof of emails confirming our booking and rang the day before. Manager (male) was quite frankly rude told me sorry nothing we can do. Then told us to come back in a hour an they could fit us in. We then got seated but was told lots of items were missing from the menu including drinks ect some meals come out cold. Seems very unorganised and lots of lack of communication between staff overall experience was quite poor but the food I had was nice. I’d say avoid if you are in a big group as it seems a bit overwhelming for staff and the lack of communication is awful when it comes to booking obviously.More

Came for Mother's Day, the menu was really well-priced and included a lot of options. We opted for the special MD offer which was £25.50 for three courses and a glass of Prosecco/house wine. This menu included (good) vegan and vegetarian options, which is always...a lovely surprise as often vegetarian options are neglected on limited menus. Also a lot of GF options! Service was slow but it was packed on a busy day so I wouldn't say this was a negative. Our waitress (blonde short hair) was lovely and attentive. Our dessert took a while to come due to a mix up and she was very apologetic. We still tipped despite slow service as the staff were really running up and down the whole time. As for the food, it was amazing - large portions and full of flavour. I would definitely come here again.More

We have been here before and always had a lovely time. So didn't hesitate to rebook. OK I understand it was a Saturday afternoon so you expect it to be busy. But it just seemed extremely loud, mainly due to the music. I like background...music when in a restaurant, but you couldn't hear the other person speak. Also we were offered the normal menu. When I asked for the Prix Fixe menu I was told that it was finished. On the Internet it clearly says Prix Fixe 4pm to 6pm Saturday. Reluctantly we were told that as a favour this once we could have it as the restaurant had just been taken over. The website was in the process of being changed. When my husband asked for the burger off the menu he was told he couldn't have it. Yet we saw a number of dishes coming out which were definitely burgers. The bill calculates the 10% sur charge if you want to pay or not. Not sure I would of paid this, but honestly couldn't wait to get out. The young staff were very nice, just the whole experience was not at all a relaxing atmosphere you would like for an evening meal before a show. Really don't like giving anything but good reviews but just hope this helps someone else make a decision. If the restaurant reads this, please turn down the music a touch and offer what it states on the Internet or I wouldn't of booked and really wish I hadn't.More
