A friends daughter wanted to try sushi and we decided on Etsu based on trip advisor reviews and have to say we were pleased we did. New to Japanese food we were unsure what to order but in the end plumped for a mixed sushi and shashimi , a negiri selection and ten don and a few small sides. It... More

Food was very good indeed. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in this restaurant. It was laid back, right about of tables, staff were great and traditional decorations. My only negative feedback is service was a touch slow during a daytime service it wasn't even busy.

I visited the restaurant on 11th February 2017 while spending a few days in Liverpool. The place was very busy, which is always a good sign. I had not booked ahead and was very happy to sit by the bar. Although I love sushi, I opted for a Japanese curry and was not disappointed. The young man manning the bar,... More

Finally a Japanese restaurant that serves also something different from the obvious sushi! I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. It's cozy and warm, and the staff greated us politely. I am vegetarian and had no problems at all in finding something that suited me, there was an amazing variety that I never saw in other restaurants... More

Just off the River Mersey waterfront, one room with app. 40 seats, typical Japanese restaurant with good choice of starters and main melas, including sushi and sashimi, very good service, tasty food, fresh ingredients, decent prices. Booking essential.

I had booked a table several weeks in ahead of weekend trip to Liverpool. Compared to the Japanese restaurants in Belfast it is reasonably priced with fresh beautiful food. The only complaint I would have is they don't have any dick dishes on the menu. My partner was quite disappointed with this as he is not a fan of sushi.... More

We came here for my birthday lunch, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and made me feel very special with some beautiful origami on the table. We were new to Japanese food, so they explained the menu and even gave us a lesson on using chopsticks. I would recommend this restaurant over... More
