I've been in Etsu five times this year, and I wish I discovered the restaurant before. The welcoming and the service was fantastic. I've tried most selections of the menu in the five occasions that I've visited. There's been none that I didn't like. They are not only extremely tasty but also beautifully presented. I can highly recommend especially all... More

This very busy restaurant was a great find during our short trip. The sushi was a decent size, and the menu had a good range. The service was also very friendly.

Etsu is a consistently excellent restaurant with a fantastic menu and brilliant service. We go often as a couple but also a family. The kitchen regularly accommodates a wheat allergy and two vegans without any bother, which is worth its weight. I'd very much recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

A truly brilliant restaurant. The food is superb. The staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is great. It is always my first choice of places to eat out in Liverpool. I recommend booking in advance and it's not cheap but it's well worth every penny. A really special place.

This is only a small restaurant so it's not noisy and bustling like some others. There is a good choice on the menu and the food is cooked to perfection. I had the sirloin steak and my husband had the sea bass. We both tried the Japanese beers. Kagua blanc and Kagua rouge are both great tasting beers but not... More

We've been to this place a few times and it has never not been great. It's quite small inside and sometimes it's fully booked so book ahead if you go on a weekend! I've tried most of the thing on the (relatively small) menu and pretty much everything is spot on, and the service is great. It's a nice, relaxing... More

Really enjoyed the lunch. Friendly staff, good value and really nice Katsu curry. Couldn't fault it. It's really easy to find and close to the docks so you're not wandering around too much. Unlike a lot of other places in Liverpool, Google maps has this in the right spot.

I rang to book for the following Saturday evening at 7.30, but they could only fit us in at 8.30, which we reluctantly accepted. However, they promised to call back if they had a cancellation. I didn't expect to hear from them but on Saturday afternoon, I had a call to say we could go at 8.00 instead. I was... More

Tasty food and good service. The waitress was knowledgable and recommended to change my main meal as it was very similar to my starter which was the prawn tempura. Reasonably priced for a 2 course meal and a bottle of wine and the pub next door give 2 cocktails for £10 of you have eaten with etsu, which is a... More
