Fantastic staff, super friendly and food was delicious only slightly disappointed as they used to do fondue and they no longer do that since the refurb and was a favourite of mine

I love cheese & so does my daughter so we were pleased to discover this cheese lover's heaven whilst visiting Lincoln. It's small inside but thankfully we got a table. Mr Fish & I shared a cheeseboard which was superb. Even the pickles were yummy & the vintage Dutch was lovely. We were of course tempted by the fabulous selection... More

On entering the wonderful Cheese Society you are now walking into a refurbished artisan cheese shop that can answer to your every need. Wonderful decor that reflects a relaxed and modern atmosphere where you can not only buy your favourite delight but also sample some of the cheesy treats! It is refreshing to see such a broad range of cheeses... More

This is my second time reviewing the cheese society and it really held up to the amazing memory of the first time! The food was divine and quality produce makes this a little gem. The fact that you can then buy a load of cheese in the shop section to take home makes it even better! The selection they have... More

One of the delights of the Cheese Society is being there when someone comes in who is discovering it for the first time. Their expression is often a mixture of awe and disbelief - a treasure trove of great cheeses from different countries so carefully looked after, the really friendly staff, the fact that they will happily let you sample... Today we visited to have lunch as a couple who have lunched before at the cheese society many times before. What a disappointment it was. There used to be a couple of sofas to sit on when you had to wait for a table as was normal but we did not have to wait today. The service was friendly as... More

Very sorry you did not enjoy your visit to us recently. The identity of the business has evolved, we are a cheese shop with a small licensed cheese eatery offering cheese dishes, we are not a restaurant. Very sorry, but no room for the sofas which were moved out to make room for lots of lovely cheeses, accompaniments and accessories. More

We love cheese, so this was an inevitable visit for us! Would definitely recommend the house cheeseboard - very filling and such good value; £24, which includes the meats and pork pie (£20 without). We arrived at the right time; it got really busy just after we were seated, and there is very limited seating. Will be visiting again when... More

Cheese heaven - stopped by as a family lunch with a difference and to pick up some lovely cheeses. Very nice lunch indeed and great staff. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a quick late lunch, the menu had just the right amount of choice and was reasonably priced. The staff acknowledged us the second we walked in the door and they were so friendly and helpful. The food came in good time and it was divine! Well worth the short walk from the top of the high street.... More

A very different lunch, stuffed chilli peppers and mixed olives on salad leafs to start. A glass of ginger beer, the best I have ever had. Then goats cheese pate, salad, and warm fresh bread. Very good food and service, not cheap, but quality. Well worth a visit.

Thank John T
