From the opening hours listed here I didn't think it would be an option for dinner but as we strolled passed it was open. Popped in for an early dinner with our 5yr old and they found us a table. Lovely food. Fast service. Would definitely return. Do try it for yourself!

Suffice to say we ate far too much as we just couldn't resist their gorgeous food. Hare pie was awesome with lovely fresh vegetables, all perfectly cooked. Very reasonably priced and completely delicious!

Lovely food...very original. Big portions! Friendly staff. Best to book in advance for a Saturday night as it seems to get busy. We returned on the Sunday night as we enjoyed it so much the night before. Not as busy on a Sunday

Had a late lunch here after visiting the Usher Gallery to see the BP Portrait exhibition. Chose this restaurant because my husband loves a pie and because there were a lot of good reviews. We were not disappointed. Everything we chose was delicious , The whiskey and mushroom pate starter was amazing and served with lovely warm toast. Unfortunately the... More

Had the Sunday lunch time deal.. amazing quality, amazing value and amazing staff! Genuinely a great experience both due to the food quality and also the value. Only criticism is poor choice of lagers.. not everyone's drink I know.. but just a tiny observation.

The lunch time specials are excellent & have visited the Pie Shop on many an occasion for lunch. This time it was an evening visit & the gloss maybe wearing off. Portions seam to have reduced. Ask not to be seated by the toilets due to rather unpleasant smell towards the end of our meal. Will go again at lunchtime... More

We visited Brown's on a busy Friday night and was seated in the cosy cellar area. If your not keen on sitting too close to other diners I would ask to dine upstairs where you have a bit more room. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes for our starters to arrive. The mains were of a decent standard but... More

Tried this restaurant after recommendation and so glad we did. Starter and main for £12.95. Mushroom and whiskey pate is the best I've ever tasted. Had pie of the day which was pork and apple, amazing!! Served with mashed potato and veg which was delicious. Ate in the cells area which we loved as it's very quirky. Will definitely return

As you walk away with Lincoln Castle at your rear you start to go down a hill and on the right hand side is Brown's Pie Shop. It looks just like a cake shop but at the rear is a restaurant which I'm glad we visited. Went in and had lunch. I had the Pot Roast Beef with roast potatos... More

Booked a table for 2 on a Friday night for a birthday treat. Couldn't fault the place. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service with very friendly staff. We had pies, there is so much meat in them... Excellent value for money. Very tasty and extremely filling! After main course followed by the most delicious Bakewell Tart I've ever had, I could barely... More
