My wife and I came in for a meal and not looking for anything too extravagant. We've been to The Stag several times and have always left satisfied. The shoulder pork which I had this time was extremely good, as was my wife's chicken. Nicely presented and really tasty. Whilst the main menu may seem a bit lacking to some... More

Wanted a meal when in Lincoln shopping. Not overly excited about the menu but chose goats cheese and salad and beef and mushroom pie. Nothing wrong with the goats cheese(how could there be) simply a lump of cheese, some green leaves and beetroot. The pie filling was fine though I have had much better short crust pastry, vegetables fine but... More

Dave offered fantastic customer service to myself and my companions! He was sensitive to our needs and requirements, ensure swift service and was a key component of the team on shift - he was fantastically well mannered and polite and an utter delight during our visit. We have already highly recommended the Stags Head to our friends and families, and... More

Visited for dinner with friends. Interesting menus lead to good meals, realistically priced for their good standard of ingredients and good cooking! Very pleasant staff gave excellent service. Larger vegetable portions would have been much welcomed. Soup was good, nicely textured and dressed, with plenty of flavour. Wish I ate desserts as they looked and tasted very good, my friends... We fancied a roast dinner and didn't want to cook, scanned the Internet and found this. It's really busy at lunchtimes apparently. as we tend to eat our main meal in the evening we turned up at 4.30 they serve the carvery until 7 pm. Plenty of tables so a good time to come. The meat was cooked to perfection... More

We ravel 45 mins eat here @ least once a week. They do the best plough and lunch I have had in 40 years. My husband loves the beer battered fish & chips. The staff are so friendly & welcoming (especially Dave). The whole place is beautifully clean & tidy, with a great play area for children . Couldn't rate... More

Although we only live across the road, today is the first time we have had a carvary at The Stags for well over a year. It has improved massively. In fact, I have to say it has to be the best carvary we have had - it really was sublime. Nothing was too much for the staff and management (thank... More

Stopped off here yesterday after visiting Lincolnshire Showground not expecting much but got a right treat..Staff were friendly and helpful..food was delicious and value for money. Well worth a pop in for their cavery if their fresh daily food is anything to go by. I had the trio of saussages which was fantastic with its scrummy onion gravy and garden... More
