This is our second visit to the Jews House. Excellent food in an amazing setting. We booked in May to make sure we got a table during the Lincoln Christmas market. The food was well presented and served well by the excellent staff.

Dined as a family of 4. It was a very cold evening and when we arrived it was warm and welcoming. The menu is small but well balanced. I ordered the 48 pork belly to start and Turbot for main. Both excellent and very tasty. The home made bread was delicious. Other dishes were soup, pigeon, lamb and venison. Again... More

We went to Lincoln Christmas market and prebooked this restaurant expecting everywhere to be bssy. We were so glad that we did, not because of the number of people as it was really quiet, but because we wouldn't have known it was there. The food was excellent, with service to match, loved the environment. We'll definitely visit again. My only... More

The Jews House is a fantastic restaurant in the middle of Lincoln. It's a very old house with an extremely interesting & turbulent history. The food was simply delicious, the wine list excellent, and the staff extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We had a brilliant meal. Thank you very much!

I spotted this restaurant on a visit to Lincoln in September and it looked a lovely place so when we decided to spend our wedding anniversary in Lincoln we booked a table online , I've read on a few reviews people commenting on the fact that when you book they ask for your card details. .. I did think I've... More

Visited Saturday night for a special meal to celebrate our anniversary. From start to finish the experience could not have been better. The welcome and service throughout was warm and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the pork belly followed by the lamb. Being 7 months pregnant I asked for the lamb to be cooked slightly longer... More

I have often been here before for both dinner and lunch. Initially one is in awe of this wonderful old building but once inside the quality of the restaurant soon asserts itself. On this occasion I was in a party of 12 persons with a pre-chosen menu at a fixed price. Given the quality and quantity, I am not sure... More

I write this review with a sense of regret as I had such high hopes and expectations for a wonderful dining experience at The Jew's House. After a tasty 'amuse bouche' of tuna sashimi, my wife and I both chose the 'special' starter, which was the tomato and chorizo soup with king prawn, created by the chef in view of... More

Went here with my partner on a Friday evening, it was such a lovely evening and there just wasn't anything negative about it. The place had a lovely atmosphere. The décor was reserved and classy, the exposed brickwork and wooden beams made it feel very homely along with the soft, dim lighting. Background noise/music is a big thing to me... More

Sadly we found the whole lunch experience at Jews House rather pretentious. I have never had to give credit card details to confirm a table reservation, not even in top flight London restaurants. We found the service from arrival to the finish, over the top and not in keeping with the simple, somewhat lacking, surroundings. We felt our meal was... More
