Having eaten here a number of occasions we are disappointed that today's lunch was far from what we would expect. Service was mediocre and slow. My tea was barely luke warm on arrival (10 minutes wait). Half an hour wait for the food to arrive and no acknowledgement from the staff of this. We had drunk our drinks by the... More

Hello, Thankyou for your feedback. Yesterday was unexpectedly extremely busy for us and we had to get additional staff in at the last minute to help us who were only visiting at the time! As should be expected in a busy restaurant there will be a wait for food but i do apologise for the lack of attention you received... More

Had lunch here today to celebrate my birthday. The menu choice was excellent; opted to the chicken and bacon dish accompanied by freshly made pasta, which was absolutely delicious. I chose the Bailey's bread and butter pudding with ice cream for dessert, again excellent. Everything was beautifully presented and how nice to have freshly laundered white linen on the tables.... Only wanted tea and coffee. How long does pouring hot water into a teapot take ? Waited ten minutes for them and then it wasn't that hot . Another friend joined us later and waited ten minutes to be served and another ten minutes to be served a cold cup of coffee which would have been hot had it been... More

We went there for a birthday lunch for my wife, excellent all round good service, lovely food. I had Black Pudding and Duck egg starter, my wife had bruschetta. Main course was Chorizo and Chicken Risotto and Chicken Pie, both were good ample portions accompanied by wine and coffees. Couldn't fault it and will return.

We have previously visited Macys for just coffee but thought we would try Sunday Lunch,we were not disappointed. We were greeted by a pleasant waitress who showed us to our table, which had a crisp white tablecloth and good quality cutlery. We chose pork and lamb for our main,it was delicious and the flavours were to die for, lovely yorkies, roasties and fresh... More

My friend brought me here last year for my birthday, the women who served us was hurrying us up all the time we were eating ,and very noisy when moving cutlery . She was that loud we could not hear ourselves talk. We hear it had new owners so we tried again and the food was lovely and the staff... More

Excelled BBQ lunch today. Salads were very fresh and tasty. Meat good quality. Waiter and chef so friendly. Shame more people weren't there to enjoy the BBQ. Will definitely be back. Top marks to the staff on duty!

This restaurant changed hands recently and this was our first visit with the new owners. We absolutely loved the menu and our meals were delicious. I had tempura mussels with an Asian dip followed by smoked salmon and orawn tagliatelle in champagne sauce and then berry Eton mess for dessert. It was all gorgeous and perfectly portioned and at £68... More

Popped into today for Friday Lunch for our first visit. We both had the swordfish and loved it! The restaurant was quite busy for a Friday lunch and the service was excellent. Food is cooked from fresh. So we did not mind waiting a short while for the food which was beautifully created and presented by the chef. My wife... More

Under new management and afternoon tea is a highlight. Good choice of very fresh sandwiches with smoked salmon and crean cheese , ham and mustard, egg and cress cheese and chutney. Tasty scones with jam and cream. In the cake line almond slice, carrotcake and the the most delicious chocolate brownie -very rich. Plenty of hot tea and service was... More
