3 of us had the afternoon tea with prosecco. Service was very good and we did not feel rushed. Sandwiches and scones were delicious but the cake offering was a little disappointing compared to other similar places. I could have eaten more and my friends went on to have a cheese board in the next place we visited.

booked a table for 4 recently, on recommendation, never been before, pleasantly surprised. the food was good, if my medium rare fillet was a bit over cooked, with a good steak and wine offer. Wine is reasonably rather than eye-wateringly priced, good selection of ales and beers in the bar

Having not made any bookings for a restaurant on a Saturday night, my partner and I stopped into the Tower Hotel for a drink to figure out where to go. It then poured rain so on chance, we asked if they had meals on. Yes but only in the restaurant and fortunately they had room for 2. What a great... More

Having booked a room in the hotel I heard good reviews of the good. I reserved a table the night before and was pleasantly surprised to get a table. We didn't want a starter but was presented with complimentary breads and dips that were very tasty. For our main I had duck with a potato gratin and my husband had... More

Myself and my friend stopped off for lunch here. We sat out in the garden area which was a little sun trap and nice and clean. The food was great, service was a little slow but the staff were very polite. Will definitely return!

A group of 20 of us went on a Wednesday for afternoon tea. The teas were delicious and the food was brilliant. Sandwiches were all fresh with soft bread and tasty fillings. Scones were fresh and still warm! Macaroons were very nice with homemade lemon curd centre. £12.50 pp wasn't bad for what we got. Everyone had more than enough... More

Service was very friendly and prompt. Unfortunately the scones were dry/stale and the afternoon tea itself was not as good value for money as other places nearby such as the Lincoln Hotel or further down the hill Patisserie Valerie.

Sunday lunch with family Intense flavours from start to finish. Obviously good quality ingredients. Starters were enjoyed by all, generous servings. Highlight was the confit of duck with Asian slaw Mains were good with a nice variety of veg. All very well cooked. Only downside was that all found the food to be saltier than ideal. Friendly and attentive staff... More

Excellent food, lovely staff, busy but not too loud. Not too expensive considering the quality of the food.Interesting menu choices on a fairly small menu but prefer that to a large choice of mediocre food.

We ate here for my daughters wedding reception. The hotel and staff are fantastic. We had a reception of afternoon teas and this was lovely and well presented. Marie was especially attentive to all our needs and we cannot thank her enough for that.
