We stopped in the pub while biking with kids. Pub was not busy at the early afternoon. We ordered drinks and snacks. Garlic mushroom on toast absolutely delicious. Also lemon and chocolate cake very good. I’m looking forward to come back to pub to try...any mains. Overall very good experience. I scored one star less as we were waiting for over hour for cakes. It looks that our order got lost somewhere.More
So friendly huge portions of food home cooked .. really hot and tasty.. Landlady has got things right here well worth a visit
Very disappointed with the whole experience, service both before and after meal was very slow. Had to wait a long time for order to be taken, waited a long time again for meal to be served and the table was not cleared until we ask...for the bill at the bar. As far as the meal was concerned the beef was dry and tough, the carrots and broccoli were undercooked, the gravy was thin and tasteless. Roast potatoes were more like boiled and the mashed potatoes were watery. When i mentioned the fact that the beef was tough and that i had left the worst of it on my plate the reply was that they would tell the kitchen.More

Visited this lovely pub yesterday. We aren't from the area so found it on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food was amazing and even better they have Gluten Free options. I always get nervous about...eating Gluten Free in new places but I can safely say this place was a winner. Highly recommend.More
Had an amazing evening on Monday in the laughter loft with my partner, really good comedians, excellent pre show dinner and impeccable service, great value for money, will be returning soon
We visited at lunch time and sat in the very pleasant garden. Menu was good includin smaller portions. The food was delicious, well presented. The service was prompt, helpful and friendly. The dog was very welcome too.
Fantastic comedy night!! Great food and service. Just a brilliant way to spend a Monday evening. Would thoroughly recommend.
Two of us had beyond meat burgers which were excellent; perfectly cooked with accompanying relishes/sauces. Crispy chips that were already nicely seasoned and a tasty simple salad garnish. The guest ale was good. The third of us had a battered halloumi salad and chips, which...was perfectly done. Nice pub with friendly staff and decently priced. I'd highly recommend a visit for food and drink.More
Last minute booking, staff was lovely , Food excellent . Thank you for fitting us in last minute. Will definitely be back.
WE just LOVE this pub! Friendly service, lovely setting and the food is always fresh and delicious. Brought my friend for her first visit last night and she will also be back!
Staff were really friendly, really helpful--and doing their best to make this a warm and welcoming experience--despite evening temperatures of around 5 degrees and outdoor seating only. Like everywhere else they've needed to put their prices up a bit--but no real complaints about that. Everyone...in our group of 6 had a different meal and everyone was pleased by the quality of the food and the portion size. They've done their very best to make the outdoor space attractive and safe. Good luck to you over the next few months and hope the opening up is successful.More
Me and my partner went to the comedy night, the food was lovely and the beer garden has a good atmosphere. We will definitely be going again!
We went to the Black Horse for Sunday lunch and after using the NHS Covid app to gain entry we were escorted to a Pod which is a little covered seating space, our order for drinks was taken and we were left to look at...the small but perfectly formed menu, service could not have been better, very attentive but not obtrusive, drinks quickly delivered and food order taken, we were fortunate that the weather was very good, perfect for excellent beer and cider quickly followed by amazing Lestah tigers burgers a chicken burger and a vegetarian burger, all very large and plates left clean, we had a lovely day its a wonderful place.More
