Booked a table for 2. Landlord greeted us on arrival & seated us. Explained the house rules etc. All well run a very safe environment. Great staff who regularly checked we were ok for drinks. Good food, fish & chips for me & a chicken...burger for the wife. I can’t fault this place at all & I can’t think of a better landlord that I’ve seen working hard, talking to customers, sharing banter & the staff look genuinely happy to be working there. Congratulations to you & your team. Keep up the great work. We shall return.More

Why bother with some rubbishy chain for a Sunday dinner, when you have a local independent business on your doorstep. Lovely home cooked Sunday lunch, served by friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended

The nicest, friendliest and most lovely establishment. The food is great - honest pub grub and super tasty burgers with PROPER chips. Vegetarian and vegan options available too. They make such an effort to make sure all customers are happy whether just in for a...drink, food or one of their epic comedy evenings. Very 'covid safe'. During lockdown they went above and beyond to help the local community and keep people's spirits up. I feel so proud to have this pub as our local. Cannot recommend enough.More

Visited here today 14th September, 3.30-6pm, we had few drinks and a meal, haven’t been since pre Covid, have to say this is the most professional pub I have been since Covid, they have a great plan in place, bar staff fantastic, waitresses fantastic, fantastic...chef, me and the Missus had our regular Lestah burger, my daughter had the bacon cheese burger(in the picture) considering it’s only a mile from my house. It’s the best burger I have ever had, time and time again this place keeps up with the fantastic quality of food, it’s wired it’s only round the corner from me, but since Covid it is a cut and above all other restaurants we have been since the restrictions! WELL DONE KEEP IT UP!!!More

Just been for lunch after lockdown. It has to be one of the best home cooked fresh meals I’ve had. Lovely food, all made from scratch and great friendly service. I had the chilli and my hubby had the nose bag and side of nachos....Omg we are soooo full. Thank you to Rachael, Gayle and Lauren for making us feel welcome, safe and filling us to the brim!!!More

My husband and I ate here on Sunday and had wonderful service from the waitress called Ella. My husband said that his burger was the best he had ever eaten, and he loves burgers!

I visited here last week with my sister after Fiona recommended it to us. We both had the steak and couldn’t believe the size of them I had to bring some of mine home with me for my tea I couldn’t eat it all, they...both tasted wonderful and were cooked to perfection. Also the pear crumble was the best dessert I’ve ever had!!! We’ll definitely be backMore

We’ve been using this pub for a few years and have always been treated fantastically. They offer so many different events and are always happy to help especially Jamie who is always happy to help and advise where necessary. This is a fantastic local pub.

This is a lovely, interesting pub with beautiful walks in the meadows nearby. I love the fact that it is so dog friendly. It has a large garden but as the weather was poor we ate inside and there were several dogs to keep ours...company. Alice took our order; she was friendly and coped well with our changes to the menu and indecisiveness. Joss brought our food and took our dessert orders, he was friendly and funny and could not have been more helpful. Our food was delicious! Four of us had the chicken strips which were tender and moist and my husband had the steak. He finds it difficult to get steak cooked to his liking as places interpret “medium rare” differently so he asked for “red in the middle” and it was one of the best cooked steaks he has ever had. Our dog was not so happy though as he did not share. The pub has a one way system in place currently and took track and trace details which I was pleased about as not everywhere is doing this. Overall a really lovely pub with great staff.More

Had a fantastic meal in The Black Horse. Rachel, Donna and Kyle were fantastic in the kitchen cooking up some marvellous food. My steak was cooked to perfection with a beautiful peppercorn sauce. The Aylestone fried chicken was always highly rated by my partner. The...pub had every sensible precaution against Covid-19 but this did not detract from the fantastic atmosphere in the pub. We would definitely visit again - especially if we got Cam as our waiter again as he was great!More

Hi. Yes it does. 60 capacity upstairs. Or a long alley skittles alley which can potentially fit up to 40 people. Cheers
