In Leicester city center but down one of the many little back streets that make up cathedral quarter. It's a little gem offer fine food and an amazing dinning experience. Food was top notch and the restaurant setting was lovely in a former factory, that has been covered in to the boot room. Staff were wonderful providing a high level... More

Super location in city centre. Staff friendly and provided great service. Quality of food was very good indeed. We went on a Tuesday when a CBA menu was available, this was excellent value and included a glass of wine. Would happily eat there again and again! Six of us went and had a variety of meals all of which resulted... More

We had a Travelzoo voucher which gave us a main course, a sweet and a glass of prosecco each for £29.00. As there was no starter included we chose an antipasti sharer for 2 which was very well presented and tasty. For mains we both had fillet medallions in a sauce at a £3.00 supplement each. These were very tender... More

The bars and restaurants of Millstone Lane really are a bit of a treat, especially if you prefer independents over anonymous chains. The Boot Room offers a modern European menu, backed with first-class service. My wife and I recently enjoyed an excellent three course meal, which came in at under £80 including aperitifs, wine and coffees. The litmus test is... More

Went with friends. Food was well presented with a good choice on the menu. I had the set meal for Tuesday night £16.95 for 3 courses. Others had off the menu. The prawn starter looked fantastic. The total price for 4 people including 2 cocktails was £175 😐. Worth a visit.

Had an early supper here on Saturday night. Food and service were both fine. However the menu was uninspiring and the general impression we've been left with is one of being expensive for the experience.

We listened to a saxophonist in the background, while we drank champagne, then ate focaccia with olives as a starter, followed by chicken (for me) and duck (for me friend). The skin on the chicken was crispy, and tasted perfectly delicious. Veggies sautéed in a balsamic reduction were lovely. These were accompanied by beets with goat cheese beignets, which were... Whilst the food was average at best, what really let down our meal was the mediocre customer service. After moving tables (as did two other parties) away from a noisy large group which the restaurant were unable to manage appropriately and therefore dominated the restaurant, the manager was unapologetic and came across as totally unbothered by our complaint. Definitely won't... More
