Myself and husband called in here to avoid the rain on a late afternoon. Ordered pulled pork bap and pork and stuffing baguette. Both with chips. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Cosy atmosphere with log burning fire.

Came to the Elleray seeking shelter from the rain, and grabbed some fireside seats. They had a couple of decent ales on (I enjoyed the Blonde Witch). We both had giant Yorkshire puddings with generous fillings, really enjoyed the Cumberland sausage and the steak and ale respectively. Would recommend.

We ducked in here to escape the February drizzle after a huge walk this Saturday. I have been past this place many times but never ventured in, however, this time, the lure of a real fire was enough to persuade us. Pleasant, traditional hotel and bar with a roaring coal fire and a sports bar/tv area at the other end.... More

Real Ale was below average for choice. Did not eat as couple next to us complained food was cold. Menu was typical pub grub.

Very nice cosy pub with friendly staff and local customers. The beer is kept absolutely spot on and the food is good too but it's just standard pub grub so don't go in expecting gourmet food and then make a fuss...yes I've seen it happen! Recommended!

A fantastic bar set in the village of Windermere. The staff are friendly and the music choice is good. The real open fire and warm bar-area make this a favourite in the village

Had 2 evening meals here in front of roaring fire. The food was excellent and we'll priced. The bar area is a little tired and dated but the staff were helpful and gave excellent service.

Visited here on a Saturday evening with the wife. Typical pub fare on the menu and got a seat in a raised area that we thought would be quiet. A family came in with about three kids and announced that they had just ordered a take out at the local Chinese and it was a 40 minute wait. There kids... More
