My wife & I have called here twice & found it very good on both occasions. The staff are very pleasant, the food (I think) must be freshly baked daily & is very good.

We headed back to the Narrowbar for lunch when we were in Penrith. Once again a really good experience - the menu is extensive and varied and the specials board is always a good option. The staff are busy but unfailingly polite and helpful. We really enjoy eating here.

Reasonable selection of light meals, scones and cakes. Home-made food, cakes are delicious, good choice of refreshments although a little pricey

Great little bar. We had breakfast at lunchtime which was the bestI have ever had. Sausages and bacon just as you would have at home. Very good quality. Staff very friendly and helpful. Inside and outside eating.

Yummy food. Good variety for vegetarians. Beautiful breakfasts. Cakes look divine, but haven't tried them yet.

Visited for lunch on Monday for the first time. We were impressed immediately by table service - something that is sadly dying out in the English cafe. I tried the special mezze and my wife had the falafels. Both were brilliant. A great cafe with good atmosphere.

Had a great little break in this narrow little cafe which seemed full of youngsters hanging out and chatting. Great selection of drinks, and good choice of gluten free cakes

Lovely cafe with great service, didn't just looked after us but also our lil boy (6month old, shar pei), amazing coffee (one of the best) and delicious club sandwich...highly recommended!

The name presumably comes from the shape of the place. It offers coffees, teas as well as light snacks. We enjoyed a mocha and an earl grey tea as well as a date slice. The atmosphere was informal and the staff were friendly.

Stopped off on the way to Scotland. This was a real find. Sitting in the sunshine enjoying the club sandwich was a great experience. The homemade scones were a triumph too! Beware huge portions !! Friendly staff would return happily.
