Popped in for lunch. It's attached to a garden centre by the level crossing in Culgaith. If we hadn't been recomended to the cafe we might have given up searching for it. It's on the right hand side of the garden centre. What a lovely venue inside! The display of gorgeous home cooked cakes nearly persuaded us to forget lunch... More

Have eaten here lots of times, most recently it was second to none as usual, home baked bread, my sandwich was filled to the brim with prawns, home cooked chips, the food is locally sourced, the meat from only a few miles away, the staff are lovely and friendly, very busy even on days when you wouldn't expect it to... Staying in the North of the Lake District decided to have a trip into the Eden Valley. Saw an advert for this location so decided to stop off for coffees. Had coffees and a scone and tea cake. Staff lovely coffee and scone excellent. Even bought some scones to take home. Tea cake dry. Mocha to chocolatey. Would definitely visit again.

This is where my wife and I go for a meal, lunch or dinner, which is that bit special. We love the food and the service is friendly and allows us to talk together! Restaurant quality food in a lovely setting. Nice greeting, good menu, my wife fell in love with the Cumberland Breakfast. Served until 3-30pm too!
