Dinner tonight, nice ambiance in the restaurant, friendly helpful staff, able to cater for gluten free without any fuss, tasty food, what else could you ask for? I enjoyed the seafood platter, generous helping lovely fish.

Nice pub, great location outside of the town. The beers and food is lovely. It has good charm and a relaxed atmosphere.

The location was easy, staff pleasant and food competent and a decent price. The downside for me is that as they consider themselves a town pub is that there were only two real ales,

Had a really nice meal with the family. The trio of burgers was nice and the battered fish was nice, but more care should have been taken to check the fillet before battering due to lot of bones being found. The kids had bufger and scampi, both of which were enjoyed. All in all a good meal in really nice... More

Visited this lovely pub/restaurant for my Birthday dinner. We both ordered steak pie and it was the best I've ever tasted. We were both full. Service was good and the interior was gorgeous. Also had lovely views in restaurant area.

Visited the Cross Keys as it was local to where we were staying and welcomed dogs as well as fell walkers. As soon as we arrived a water bowl was put out for our dog - good sign. The menu was small but for a pub in a small out of the way village this was not surprising. Service was... More

This is our 3rd visit to The Cross Keys and we had no idea that there is such a pleasant dining room upstairs with splendid views across the Eden Valley. On a warmer day, we would have eaten outside on the balcony, but instead chose to sit inside with the view. This is a good pub, the downstairs bar is... More

We ate here early on a Sunday evening - but it was Father's Day and there'd obviously been a run on the steaks! We did manage to get the last sirloin, and a couple of flat irons, and they were all beautifully cooked to our request. The accompanying chips (or mash) were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the... More

Arrived without having booked.. it wasn't that busy so we were lucky. Hardly any wait on the food... 20-30 mins is standard when cooking fresh. Steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Excellent meals. Only criticism we had was that we were not checked on once throughout our 3 courses.
