Visited here a couple of times when visiting Keswick from overseas (my daughter lives here). Good selection for breakfast and according to my daughter and wife, the pancakes are the best. Quirky little place on the outskirts of the town, with memorabilia associated with its past. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Certainly worth a try

The Filling Station Keswick Mixed results from this cafe opposite the Pheasant pub just north of Keswick town centre. There is quite an extensive menu but it does cover all the bases. I asked the friendly manager for eggs on toast. He refused to serve anything that was not on the menu. He offered me eggy bread instead. I opted... More

With such an extensive menu ranging from light snacks (such as bacon and egg rolls, Cumberland sausage rolls, short pancake stacks and sides) to a range of full meals we believe we have more than enough choices available for the vast majority of customers. But our menu clearly and politely states that we don't offer a bespoke service, i.e., we... More

Always a pleasure to eat here, for novices I would recommend any of the pancake stacks as a good introduction. Staff always friendly, food excellent and the coffee makes the trip worth while in itself. Just wish it was a bit closer to home. Thank you.

I enjoyed a really good breakfast here earlier in the summer. They do an interesting line of things you don't normally see for breakfast. I had something with smoked mackrell hollandaise and spinach and it was incredible. I've tried to recreate it at home with little success so a return visit is needed!!!

My wife daughter friend and I all stopped here for lunch after hiking up Latrigg. We had burgers for lunch with fries. The food was great and plentiful. Good selection of drinks including a big mug of tea, much better that a small pot! There's was a high chair for the little one and baby changing facilities in the toilets.... More

We returned for our annual visit to the area- our first stop always being the Filling Station Cafe for breakfast on our way to Booths to collect the Xmas food. Always good service, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. The chef happily accommodated my food intolerance to provide a tasty alternative to the cooked breakfast. We will be back next... This spot is the definition of hidden gem. A converted petrol station come burger bar with a fresh look and great menu. Try the milkshakes.

I've been to the filling station a few times through November 2016 after having know about it for a while. What was I thinking waiting so long to visit! This is 'THE' go to place in Keswick for breakfast or lunch. Great food, great service and fantastic atmosphere. Couldn't wish for better. And GREAT VALUE TOO!
