The daily carvery was fantastic. Great variety, well presented, excellent food. The restaurant is very cozy with a great atmosphere. There is a covered play area for the kids, so great for families.

Enjoyed an evening in the pub garden with great food. Each meal ordered by our party of five, was delicious and was all the better for being so dog friendly. Would definitely return on our next visit to Kendal.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here, enjoyed the carvery and there were good options for the children too. Service was friendly and efficient. The children particularly appreciated having a playground onsite!

We booked a table and were seated quickly by the Staff who were attentive. The food was very very good. Steak and Ale pie, Cumberland sausage and fish and chips were excellent. Children’s food was a good size. I recommend a visit .

Went here 8 of us for tea and everyone had a lovely meal from Curry to Fish & Chips and Sausage and mash in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Plenty of real ales to sample. The staff are really attentive and the service is very good.

Its a long walk to oxenhome station, Taxis are usually parked both sides of the station, my guess is fare would be between £5-£10.

Of course you can, and there are high chairs available. I am uncertain of the times but a quick call to Romney's should put you right.
