Had a wonderful late lunch with my godson and his mum. The lady who served us was absolutely fantastic. Not only did she bring the child's food first, she was incredibly friendly and helpful, even providing us with some bread to feed the ducks and directions on where we would find them. The food was delicious, especially the puddings! So... More

Cosy old fashioned setting a bit cramped. Staff very friendly and quick. Cheese savoury sandwich not generous filling, eggs Benedict one no sauce one sauce on side. First one came swimming in sauce. Other Meals finished by time order arrived well cooked salmon a bit tasteless.

We found this restaurant by chance as other places were full. It was a really busy weekend as there was a rally in Kendal and an unexpected high number of customers. The lady who served us was lovely even though she was serving everyone in this small, pretty restaurant, and having to negotiate a flight of stairs with each service.... More

We were in Kendal for a motorbike rally weekend and needed something to eat on a wet Saturday evening. Without booking we wandered in and asked if they had a table for four. We were made very welcome and seated immediately. The little restaurant had a great vibe, alive with the chatter of people enjoying their food. Good selection on... More

Visited today for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Excellent quality, generous portions and a good menu. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed a leisurely lunch. The Joshua Tree is tucked away down a yard in Kendal. It is cosy downstairs, being an old building it is cosy with fires in cold weather and cool in hot weather,... More
