Possibly the MOST dog friendly pub we've ever been too...and that's a good thing. We went in, were made to immediately feel at home by the staffs' warm welcome and my god I've never seen so many dogs in one pub! We tried the in-house brewed ales. Both were fantastic. We then ordered food. Again, fantastic! Friendly staff, quality food... More

Lots of great beer brewed on site, there were six or seven hand pulled beers. Good lunch menu and friendly staff.

As a long time reader of the Good Pub Guide and a frequent visitor to Ings my faith in both has been somewhat shaken by the award of the title `Own brew pub of the year 2017' to the Watermill. The range of beers, the quality of the food and most noticeably the service are all worse a year ago.... More

Went here for a meal whilst in the area. Food was ordered and served lightning fast. Thoroughly enjoyed both our meals. They have a large selection of beers however as i was driving i did not drink.

Visited today & sat out in the rare Cumbrian sunshine, nice outside area. Food is good value it would have got 5 stars but the vegetables & new potatoes accompanying the Seabass were over cooked & I think had been precooked & reheated. Kids menu is good value. Broken tap in the ladies could do with fixing.

The food was very good value for money. There was a nice outside area adjacent to the small river running past the pub. An ideal way to start your holiday if travelling in from Kendal before your get to Windemere

We stopped off for lunch while on a day trip to the lakes. The sandwiches were very nice as are the surroundings. Being able to look down into the river and watch the fish swimming. We would go again.

Thank Steven B
