Following a sleety, wet walk to Easedale Tarn, we were in desperate need of sustenance and warmth. Potted Out provided this in abundance - cheesy paninis, thrice baked chips followed by cake (coffee and walnut was superb) and hot tea. Friendly staff as well. Thank you.

Second visit here. Good coffee and decent scones. A good choice of snacks and meals. Right on Main Street.

Went to Grasmere for a nice Sunday afternoon out with the intention of going for a walk and having a nice lunch somewhere. After a long haul around Grasmere trying to find somewhere to have food (we tried everywhere but apparently nowhere in Grasmere has the business sense to properly serve food on a Sunday), we found this place. The... More

we called in for a second breakfast, intended to get scones and tea, and that s what we got: two enormous scones with clotted cream and jam, earl grey and coffee, what a lovely nice meal we had! The place is cosy and warm, perfect for a late breakfast in a wintery morning.

We called here for a hot drink to warm us up on a lovely autumn day. We sat outside with the dog and enjoyed hot chocolates and purchased a delicious looking piece of Coffee and walnut cake to enjoy later. Very friendly staff café clean and welcoming.

We called with friends for a coffee and scone whilst on holiday in Grasmere. The manager and staff made us very welcome. The cafe was full which speaks volumes and the food looked really tempting and well presented . We visit Grasmere usually 2 to 3 times a year and we think this is one of the best cafe's in... More

Fantastic experience! Friendly and helpful staff, amazing food and lovely decor, we really enjoyed our visit. The lamb and mashed potato was especially exquisite.

We've been here before as it's often a bit quieter at coffee time as it's not right in the centre of grasmere. Very cheerful, friendly manager. Great cinnamon latte, and straight black for hubby. We shared an enormous fruit scone with generous amount of jam, butter and clotted cream. A shame these were served in paper containers as not sure... More

Found this cafe on a visit to Grasmere. Warm welcome by owner and waiting on staff. Nothing too much trouble. Just had scone, shortbread and tea - all very nice. Good to see ignorant dog owner sent packing when he was told he couldn't bring dog into the café !!! After all there were tables outside !!
