On a rainy February half term Monday I caught the bus from Keswick. Unexpected find. Table service. I ordered from specials menu-sausage baguette with caramelised red onion, crisps and salad (about £8.95). Food arrived very promptly. Extremely nice. I also noticed a good selection of...More

Called in for a quick breakfast and could have stayed all day! Fabulous scrambled eggs on toast (basic I know, but beautifully cooked). Inspired me to buy a slice of homemade cake to take home which was wonderful. Bonus was the quick, friendly service and...More

Really recommend this cafe for a light bite lunch. Although I am not a vegetarian, many vegetarian and/or gluten free items on the menu, which is varied and very tempting. Sorry we were only in Grasmere for a day - we would have returned again!

I was delighted to discover this cafe in October 2017 during a visit to Grasmere and was desperate to return when I re-visited this month. We had coffees and cakes and I was impressed that, as a vegan with a gluten intolerance, I was able...More

Family walk to grasmere ended with a good choice of brunch food and warming drinks. Very busy as usual so outdoor seating only and a bit of wait for the food but all meals tasty and beautifully presented.

Stopped off for lunch on the last Sunday in December, attracted by the range of vegan options. Inside was packed but we were happy outside, although warned there would be about a 20 min wait for food. We were also disappointed some menu options weren’t...More

Our first visit but it won't be our last. The lunch menu was very interesting. I had a Cumberland sausage bagette with a great onion sauce and my wife had Welsh rarebit with a kick (chilli sauce). Both very good. Great cakes for desert. Very...More

We've been here in various weathers; sitting outside is brilliant on a Spring or Summers day but equally so the inside is cosy, inviting and usually has the hum of walkers and strollers enjoying the sumptuous fare on offer. I love that it's all homemade...that...More

Thank you so much for catering so well for people with gluten and dairy intolerances. I thoroughly enjoyed my Shepard’s pie! The veg it came with was lovely too. I will definitely visit again, and I can’t wait!

Thanks for the answer. I have six friends coming up for the weekend on the 9th Feb and wanted to book a table for afternoon tea for them. Two are coeliac and one vegetarian so Greens would have been perfect. I’d be happy to... More

You would be better asking the cafe directly. A quick phone call would answer your question I’m sure.
