Could have been better, considering the high prices. Midweek in November but still fairly busy. No problem with the speed of service or portion size but the quality wasn't good, and even the advertised "hand cut chips" were poor, even some raw parts.

Best pub/bar in Grasmere. Vast array of beers, regularly changing (as evidenced by the large volume of beer pump clips on the walls/ceiling testifies) and a real fire to warm up after a cold, wet walk.

I think there were steps but the staff are so helpful, if you call ahead I am sure they will try to accommodate you.
