A firm favourite for quality craft beers after a walk with friend and dogs. Could be deemed as pricey but to be honest food and beer are priced well given the the location. Great fish finger sandwiches, amazing venison scotch egg and hand cut chips. Perfect!!!

Although its essentially a hotel bar, it is separate from the main hotel. Not cheap, but a good atmosphere and you can take your dog in.

Popped into Tweedies this weekend, just a nice Lakeland pub, dog friendly , roaring fire on a chilly day. If you like real ale it's a winner, also hit drinks and wine. Just wish the artist on Saturday night sung so we could understand him!

Well worth a visit with a pub attached to a hotel, provides a reasonable selection of ales, serves good food but pricey.

Tweedies has gone from strength to strength over the years. Their beer selection is outstanding with a range of beer styles in cask, keg, bottle and can. There's always a lovely atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and helpful. On this visited we sampled the excellent Hardknott longdrop, delicious hawskhead Windermere pale and chuckleberry sour plus a lovely saison... More

Very down to earth bar, with bar food and separate restaurant. Great selection of ales and wine. Food is good Very informal and dog friendly. Not the biggest bar so get in early to get seat in bar. Restaurant area opens at 6pm. Worth a visit..

We stopped off here for a drink half way through a loughrigg fell Grasmere and Ambleside walk. Nice relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff. We will stop again for something to eat next time.
