We visited the Ship Inn on our first night in Coniston . What a little Gem this pub is , enquired if it was ok to take our dog in, " didn't need to worry though as there were already quite a few inside " We were made to feel most welcome by the staff and other customers. The beer... More

Fantastic service with a smile. Lovely lamb shank, but a bit disappointing that they wouldn't replace chips with mash despite having mash on the menu.

Greeted by a very warm welcome. Accommodated my dietary requirements with a smile. Good range of craft beers. Food good. Host and hostess took an interest in our well being and food experience.

This is a large public house in a central position of Coniston with an open aspect inside containing several quirky features. The bar offers a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. I understand that accomodation is also availability here.

food and service was excellent. Staff and owners hospitality was first class with a happy smiley service all the way, not always an easy thing to do when you are busy.

Visited the Ship from the nearby Coppice Caravan Park. A very welcoming and friendly pub and surprisingly busy for midweek. Food was nice if not great - pies are recommended though frozen chips disappointing. Good choice of Robinsons beers.

Located out of the village so has a steady trade rather than being crowded. The food is excellent, well prepared, hearty and fresh, arrived quickly after ordering. Good decent range of gluten free options including puddings. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to all.

Second visit to The Ship on our two week holiday last night and, once again, we weren't disappointed. The food was good and great value and arrived quickly. The staff here are all so pleasant! We'll be going back tomorrow for the final night of our holiday...
