Came here on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch. Sat outside and took in the beautiful views. The food was also amazing. Love this place and can't wait to return hopefully for an overnight stay!

Stopped in as was staying at B&B down the road. Very pleasing. Lovely location, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely food and lovely wine. If you're nearby and don't mind paying a bit for quality, then do visit this place. Only downside was the weird bowls they served some food in, but I guess I'm a bit old fashioned!

A girlfriend and I visited for our evening meal at the height of the summer season. Good job we reserved our table in advance! The service was fantastic from the moment we arrived, all the staff are welcoming and on the top of their game. The food was excellent and portion size just right. Sides are not required. I had... Absolutely beautiful sunny day and lunch to match. Nothing could be better than relaxing with a beer, wine and great food whilst looking across the fells. We were saying how much better it it be if they could buy some of the corner field from the farmer and extend the seating area. We visit here once every year and it... More

Very good food and good beer. Worth a visit if slightly pricey but I think value for money. Have to go to bar though half way through meal as waitress wouldn't bring a drink to us and wasn't busy.

We ate here 3 times over 5 days - twice for a quick lunch and once for a full splurge dinner. The food menu is innovative, fresh and tasty. The choice of good wines and beer are well chosen and the service is friendly and professional - so much better than some of the other local pubs. If you ate... More

Very popular Inn offering a good selection of local ales and nicely presented meals. Good wine list. The duck I ordered however was overcooked and a bit tough, ie red not pink. My dessert, macaroons with raspberries was strangely served in a bowl which meant you had to excavate it to see what was there. Service however was very good,... More

How this charming restaurant doesn't have a Michelin Star heaven only knows! We were immediately struck by the warm welcome. The hostess informed us of a few additions to the menu and the adventure began! The food was just sublime. Besides the dishes we ordered we were treated to fresh soda bread and whipped butter and amuse-bouche that really added... More
