This place serves some really good food and had some friendly staff. Have in mind that the lunch menu does not include the evening main courses, but ia still good. Sunday roast was delicious.

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend who has stayed and eaten there a few times. The atmosphere was lovely. You can be as casual or dressed up as you like. Food was fabulous and service was brilliant. Quite expensive but worth it for a special treat. Only downside was that they stopped serving at the bar around 11... More

This restaurant pretends to be a pub... but is not at all down to earth. Wildly over priced and quite pretentious... we did not stay to sample the food. Fixed price for courses (starts £8 mains £22 and pud £8) seemed very expensive, no matter how flowery a description you put on the menu!

Really wanted to give the Duck 4 1/2 stars, as its a bit of a victim of its own success. That's being a bit mean, as the dining is first rate. Why 4 1/2, not 5? You have to book weeks ahead, so you feel slightly lucky to get a table. For a £100+ meal (for 2), you should not... More

Stopped here after a walk up Black Fell and really enjoyed the real ales and lunch - delicious sandwiches and fries. Hope to visit again for a proper dinner - very swanky inside

Superb location and a stunning view from the tables on there ridge outside the pub. Excellent beer from their own brewery. The food here is very high quality but the lunch menu is a bit small. The staff could be a bit happier and more attentive though - they were not easy to track down when needed.

Really stunning drive up to the Drunken Duck and exceptional food and service. As a family of 4 we all loved it. Terrific gastro pub in the Lakes district.

Great pub and restaurant for all the family or just on your own. Real ale and fantastic food. If the sun is shining then sitting outside is a must..
