We read an article, in a London paper, that this was one of the best country pubs in England, so when we got to the Lake District, we had to try it. The food and drinks were excellent, and I would certainly recommend that you...More

Really lovely gastropub with a nice atmosphere, good beer and very nice, interesting food. Lots of parking - very busy inside for lunch but quick service and friendly staff.

Amazing views from the front seating area. Great choice of beer and reasonably priced. I didn't eat here but the food I saw looked very very good. Highly recommend

One of my favorite lunch places - nice bike ride and good lunch food. I do not think that dinner is really worth its price.

Had a lovely lunch here recently. Dogs are welcome at lunchtimes, sadly not in the evening or we would definitely have returned for dinner.
