I stopped off at Daisy's Cafe towards the end of the day, feeling parched and in dire need of refreshment. I'd been looking at the cakes at the counter, just to make a mark for future reference. I sat down and a very friendly girl came to take my order. She asked if I wanted a slice of cake to... More

On holiday in the Lakes one usually feels, after a little walking, that a treat is in order. Too late for lunch, too early for dinner, you need coffee and cake. Ambleside like other Lake district towns has an abundance of choice, some better than others, and Daisy's is one of the better ones. Great coffee and really fresh cakes,... More

Busy little cafe with excellent food. Service was fast and exactly to order. Tables were pristine and the place had a lovely, friendly atmosphere.

This place is a great stop in a town full of interesting shops to browse in and some great walks. Loved the retro cadburys machine on the wall and all those clocks!! Had lovely toasted sandwiches and milkshakes that came in old fashioned milk bottles instead of glasses. quirky, we like!!. Reasonably priced as well.

Excellent menu choice, with lots of variety. Our group all decided on a toastie/sandwich with soup (two choices of soup both were lovely). My toastie was really well filled with nice bread too. We all went for a "milkshake", choosing different flavours, nicely presented and very tasty. The whole experience was great and if in the area again, would not... More

Couldn't stop smiling when my home made burger with bacon and cheese plus chips, side salad and homemade coleslaw arrived. Tasted excellent and the pot of tea was lovely. Friendly staff and great little café. I just need a little nap now after that plateful. Many thanks 😀

We visited Daisys The morning after completing the 4 Fells Challenge for charity. It was quite honestly the best full English breakfast I've ever had! Service excellent, and the portions were very generous. Would highly recommend if you're doing a long walk and need fuel.
