Always call in at Daisys for breakfast on first day of holiday. Place has been redecorated and new furniture since our last vist. Food excellent as always and staff very friendly.

On our recent stay in Ambleside, we had breakfast at Daisy's twice in a week. On both visits, I had the full Cumbrian breakfast. I asked for the black pudding to be left off, and without prompting, the waitresses were happy to add extras in its place. The food was excellent - all perfectly cooked using good quality ingredients. The... More

Usual busy lunchtime. Waited to be served. Silly waitress served guy who came in long after me. Ok. Owners were away leaving blonde in charge. After waiting 15 minutes asked nicely if my wife could have her soup as she had to go back to work. 10 mins later no soup. Asked again to be met with 'we are busy.... More

This cafe is very good and fills a niche in Ambleside. After a long walk we were quite hungry and decided to try Daisy's Cafe for lunch. We weren't disappointed. It was quite a comprehensive menu with all sorts of calorific food. Good soup and breakfasts were very popular. Dog and people friendly. If you're looking for good warming food,... More

Popped into this cafe on Wednesday 16th November for a snack. I had a fish finger butty (not on the menu, on the blackboard) and my missus had the carrot and sweet potato soup with 2 slices of warm brown bread (and the butter was spreadable), we also had a cup of Americana and a pot of tea. Everything was... More

After a hike we needed some soul food and a good warm up. We purposefully decided to support a local business oppose to our normal Costa franchise visit. Unfortunately we were disappointed. While the decor was rustic and cosy, although cushions on the bench would be nice, the service and food was mediocre at best. Don't get me wrong the... More

We popped in for a drink on our visit to Ambleside, it's a lovely clean cafe, with friendly staff. The breakfasts looked fantastic, it was busy and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We loved the name, as our daughter is a Daisy! Recommended.

Only called for coffee and bun. We've been to one or two cafes in Ambleside and, for me, Daisy's has the best coffee even though it's not as well promoted as others.

Popped in for some lunch whilst wandering round the shops. Was busy but we managed to get a table for 2 at the window. Service was good. Waitresses were quick & friendly. We both opted for carrot & sweet potato soup - delicious! I had a lovely warm roll with butter and other half had a toastie with his. To... More
