We had both sweet and savoury scones, both were delicious! Very quick service and lovely atmosphere. Would like to come again and sample more from the menu- the salads looked nice!

Been twice, superb both times. Cake tasting platter, what a great idea. All had a different view as to which was the tastiest cake. The proofs in the pudding.

2nd visit to this great little vegetarian cafe. We love the atmosphere and the food is really tasty. Arrived back at Ambleside by bus after a short but wet walk to Grasmere. We both had the spicy sweet corn and vegetable soup, which included tasty bread and grated cheese. This was followed by cake. Delicious!!! All that I can say... More

Called in for a bit of lunch with family and had a nice vegetarian wrap followed by the cake sample plate which had a lovely selection of home made cakes and is a great idea. Owners are nice and friendly .Cafe is only small and was full so be prepared to wait but worth it.

Unassuming but cracking little veggie restaurant just off the main drag. Had the platter to start which was great and the veg chilli main course was superb- very tasty and served in a good way. Staff and owners very chatty - highly recommended.

Surely an apple and date slice is a matter if putting the ingredients in a mixing bowl, stirring it and slamming it in the oven for a set period. Yes - if you are Greggs. This lot are as far left of Greggs as it's possible to get. There is attention to detail, a really cool "right-on-ness" and a real... More

Found is little gem, tucked into the bridge near the old mill, it is a little cafe, but the best food and coffee I've had in Cumbria. Owner operators are lovely people, complete with a sense of humour and a love of food, coffee and sweets. They definitely made my day better.

Great place for a tasty lunch. Also for excellent homemade cakes! Small restaurant but very cozy . We had salads; dipping dishes; chilli... All wonderfully served. Good drinks choice too. Best place in Ambleside for lunch!

Really friendly staff, good prices, great selection of vegetarian salads and sandwiches, and in an idyllic location with tables next to the river. Highly recommend going to visit the Rattle Gill Café and trying their famous chocolate brownie!
