Couples always get the worst seats

Booked a week in advance for my husbands birthday visit to Ambleside. We had eaten here before and the food was excellent. Once again food was fantastic, lots of choice and like that it is bought out couple of dishes at a time. However feel couples get a bad deal. Our choice of seats were by a... read more

Party of four, wet evening. Table had been booked but wasn't ready when we arrived. It was a busy Saturday night and there didn't seem enough staff. We waited for the table and then another long wait for service. The food was tasty but very expensive..have paid less in London. Six tiny cheese balls ( size of a cherry) £6.

Visited on a wet Saturday night with my brother who has holiday business interests in the area Staff welcoming but my gripe is the price. Tapas has always been over blown and over priced - but my do they go for it here. Four of us, one bottle of wine, a glass of presseco and a beer - £110. And... More

Only went in for a drink as we'd planned to eat elsewhere but the staff and menu had us sold. From the outside this place looks tiny and a bit like a ski chalet but inside it opens up into a lovely bar/restaurant with open fires and comfy seating. Drink - Neither of us are wine experts but the Manager... More

Popped in for a cocktail, which was delicious, then decide to try the tapas, and we weren't disappointed. Service was very quick but we were there rather early so there were only a couple of people in but the waiter was very nice and did recommend items that we would not normally have chosen, and he was right they were... 4 of us shared a very nice bottle of red wine following a shopping trip in ambleside. It was a pleasant day so we sat outside at the rear of the premises. It was okay, and the restaurant had made some efforts, but there was no way of ignoring the presence of the wheelie bins from said restaurant and a... More

We went to Lucy4's tonight for tapas style dining.....it was fabulous! Such a fun evening and delicious food! The manager, Emma, was the perfect hostess, she was polite, professional and very friendly. Emma made us feel like their only customers and we were made to feel very special. The waiter (sorry we can't remember his name) made the best cocktails... More

We had a great tapas meal at Lucy's 4, it was recommended to us and after walking passed and reviewing their menu we were impressed. When we arrived we were welcomed and asked what we would like to drink, we were allowed to try anything we wanted. The service by the guy who own this place is fantastic, he is... More
