Bob Carvers is probably the oldest fish shop in Hull, they are always at Hull Fair and used to fry with coal powered fryers in the old days. They are a bit greasy really and you can get better fish and chips on the coast (we are spoilt for fish shops in East Yorks) but this is a classic and... More

Opens late into the evening which was fortunate as we were struggling to find somewhere to eat before heading back to the B&B. Chips, sausage and curry - typical chip shop fare, but reasonable quality and no complaints.

we had cheese chips and the cheese was off we will not be coming back when we went back to the staff and we told that the cheese was off they did not what to no

Went to Bob carvers while I was shopping in the town and was pleasantly superseded by the quality of food and service thanks for a great meal guys.

First used Carvers when mam took is in there when knee high to a Grasshopper,When the place was in a covered tent like stall ,Now it is more up market (not really) The down stairs is a basic stop in to eat area where they fry everything behind the serving counter in front of you,No frills plastic spoons etc BUT... More

Joking!!!! Brought up in Hull, Bob Carver's is almost a destination in itself. Anyone form miles aroud 'Ull know Carvers :) It' s been around for years and years, down by the market square, by the famous Trinity Church - even Cliff Richard held a few gigs there - hey, were really talking celebs here !!!!! Traditional fish n chip restaurant, and home of the Hull Pattie! Clean and well-prepared food at reasonable prices. Takeaway downstairs, but try the upstairs seated restaurant.
