The coffee is great (both standard + best decaf I've had in a very long time). Stylish, modern interior. Good range of fresh baked cakes & (e.g. orange and cake, lemon and blueberry friands, chocolate brownie...). Not quite the range you have in Basil or Juliet's, but a great alternative if you're looking for somewhere with a slightly different vibe/off... More

My wife took me to the Black Dog for Saturday morning breakfast. What a great choice. I had a full English Aussi style. Fantastic food, quality ingredients served fresh and beautifully cooked. The coffee was particularly good. Thank you.

I say it's difficult to find fault, but I think the only fault is that at peak times it can be tricky to get a table because everyone wants to be here! The food, the service, the laid back ambience, the price. Everything is spot on here. A genuinely interesting menu. Our go-to café in Tunbridge Wells.

I can't criticise the coffee, the food is very good, the staff can be somewhat indelicate especially if you sit at the end beat the kitchen, however I just don't get it. I feel as if I have entered a bizarre private club where parents with children are the predominant members. It's a coffee shop that should be relaxed but... More

Waking down the street we went in attracted by the character of the place. Run by some iozzies from Melbourne, the food was simple and perfect/ We co;d not have hoped for better. We'll certainly return when back in TW

Visited for a late lunch whilst visiting the area for the day. Lovely warm atmosphere with professional and attentive staff. Both my partner and I had the smashed avacado with pancetta and poached egg; both of us thought it was gorgeous (and I am a fusspot!). Very fresh and very tasty. Lovely cakes to finish also. Wish there was a... More

Was working for a week in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed this little brunch place and went three times. The menu is amazing and the cappachinos are brilliant. The staff were professional and friendly. You can tell the people are very conscious about the quality of the product. I would highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch during the week. It was very busy, always a good sign. Vey interesting menu, lots of variety and lots of different stuff. The fish cakes were excellent as well as the pulled pork with apple sauce and pickled red cabbage. Cake were delicious, although not a great deal of choice for those who can't eat nuts.... More

I have been for breakfast here on a Saturday with a group of friends. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is always freshly prepared, healthy and delicious. I had the breakfast stack which was excellent and definitely recommended.
