After a very long walk and reaching the Lighthouse, Mrs Knott's Tea Room is such a treat. We really enjoyed our scones and tea. Tea pots and decors are cute. There are 2 toilets available for customers. There is a bit of a queue as most people would need a toilet after 4 to 5 hours of walk.

So we went for the Dover Castle n White cliffs walk which ended at the lighthouse which has this tea house. It's decor is mesmerising and scones are to die for...They have made an effort to have several types of tea and many types of cakes....stays endlessly busy. Must try scones with cream and jam...they are heavenly. Worth every single... More

My husband and I have been visiting the White cliffs and Mrs Knotts tea room for years. The tea room is a sigh of relief after the long 50min walk and, the tea and scones are usually lovely with a generous helping of "proper" clotted cream and jam. Unfortunately, our last visit was very disappointing! Firstly, there were no scones... More

I visited mid-week in July, just before the school summer holidays and in one of the hottest days of the year. I entered at the same time as a German family and we all went into a hot cramped room and waited to be served. Despite the hot day and the fact that most people arrive on foot after a... More

We've had light snacks here quite a few times, but I've not yet written a review. It's one of our favorite places to stop while walking on the Cliffs. Tea is served in one of their many choices of teapots. The tea-room offers a wide assortment of pastries and cakes, always something good to choose from. Views are wonderful. And... More

Hello and thank you for your review. It is pleasing to see you are a frequent visitor to our Tea room, it is a shame though that you feel that our pastries are sometimes stale. Our pastries are cooked the morning that they are put on display and the rest are boxed to keep them fresh in order to replenish... More

Lovely location on the cliffs, the Knotts family were connected to the Lighthouse, the tea room has the décor and artefacts from the WWII era. Best scones ever, washed down with a lovely cup of tea served in real china pot and cups. Also serves soup, sandwiches and cakes and is excellent value for money. There is seating inside as... More

Absolutely worth it! Delicious home made food, accompanied by a good blend of tea. Amazing view nonetheless and lovely people.

This is the place to go if you want to feel nostalgic. Glen Miller records playing on a genuine gramophone while tucking into a pot of tea served in a china cup and a delicious cake or scone. The view outside is across the channel to France overlooking the White cliffs. The easiest way to get here is to walk... More

Yes - a pleasant opportunity for a break before returning back along the cliffs to the car park. Certainly fit the WW II theme for the day's visit to Dover Castle. (Not quite corny. But would have been if they'd had Vera Lynn on the gramophone!) Can't recall any previous tea rooms of this era I'd been to being self-service... More

This tearoom was marvellous; the two rooms are furnished with pieces from the 1950's; there is a 66 year old gramophone that still works and actual vinyl records were being played with music from the era. The food was also wonderful; fresh, tempting and a paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth. Tea and food served on fine china -... More
