I visited the White Horse to sign my name to their infamous English Channel swimmer wall. While there, we had a fantastic meal. I would highly recommend going there.

This place has a lot of history and culture! It's absolutely amazing to see all the records and accomplishments of all the swimmers that have swam across the English Channel. For this place to preserve a piece of history is an incredible thing to see....More

Although I have been out to most of Dover's micropubs on visits to my parents, I had never had the pleasure of visiting the White Horse before until last Monday, when I found all of my usual haunts closed. Inside, the pub is very traditional...More

This really is a little gem of a pub that has been transformed into an excellent place to eat as well as drink some excellent draft beer, cider and a huge range of gin! We came for a Sunday Roast, were warmly welcomed and shown...More

We stopped in Dover for just one night and had an ale to wash down the dust after a long drive in the White Horse. Impressed with the friendly service and character of the pub we returned for dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. The meals,...More

My innkeeper recommended this pub and I'm glad I visited. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the barmaid was very pleasant. It was Free Food Wednesday (you can bring in outside food, as the kitchen is closed), so I didn't try the food, but the...More

I had a lovely lunch with friends at this pub. The roof garden is a lovely little place to hide out on and we loved reading the names of everyone who had swum the channel. Great selection of vegetarian food too which is always great...More

In a corner of Dover, not far from the castle, stand this house which once was connected to the neighbouring church and has had many uses. The interior denotes its age, but also gives it a lot of character and charm. Messages written on the...More

Yes of course, dogs are very welcome.
Hello, what is the price for Sunday lunches and do you have a different rate for children, also do you need to book in advance.

Hi, thank you for your question. We offer a traditional home cooked Sunday roast with all the trimmings for £10.25. For children £4.95. You do need to book as we are currently filling up very quickly.

Thankyou for your enquiry. Unfortunately, because the White Horse is a very old building and on several levels wheelchair access is difficult as there are steps both into and in the pub.
