HOWEVER the most irritating thing is having to walk passed the gauntlet of smokers outside the front door - a major problem for this chain. I have visited almost a hundred of this excellent chain - which reflects their admirable pricing - and undoubtedly some of them are modern and upgraded, with a little more brightness ( lighting being a... Atmosphere is mostly punish with tables to eat. You will see a lot of locals here, great place to people watch. The menu has a variety of eats and inexpensive. Looking for a good meal, low cost and filling-eat here. Great selection of ales, taps and wine.

Poor service, ignorant and unattentive staff. Food was passable. Will not recommend. Walking throught the gauntlet of smokers to get into the pub when with your family was most off putting. Will not return...

Arrived in Dover a with a few hours to spare, took a stroll in the main street and found this excellent Weatherspoons place. Can only recommend this place to all. Service was very good as was the snacks.

Got to Dover mid afternoon and had fish and chips right away. I am from USA and was looking forward to English "fish & chips". I was not disappointed.

This is a Wetherspoons establishment and not one of the best. It can get very busy and there can be quite a wait for food. The Smoking area seems to be right outside the front entrance

Great start to the day, with a Wetherspoon's breakfast. Standard fayre, but served with a smile. Couldn't fault it, cheers!

Central to the town, great selection of beers and ales on tap at reasonable prices. Very comfortable ambiance. Loved it.

The venue itself could do with a bit of an update but the staff are always helpful and efficient. I don't think you can find better value food and drink than in a wetherspoons. We were a party of six and and we all ate for less than £40 and three of those meals came with a drink!! The food... More
