Traditional home cooked British classics and European favorites offering local & seasonal selections. Lunch. Afternoon Tea. Evening dinner. Vegetarian, vegan & Gluten free friendly. Game dishes. Kentish produce.
The menu is diverse, french, english and American, so something for everyone, maybe not vegans. The staff are a little odd which is what makes it quirky. All in all great food and a very pleasant evening.
Huge choice on the menu. Beautiful flavours from fresh herbs in dressings. Served quickly and great care taken to ensure we were content from Vicky a lovely smiley lady who aims to please and she certainly did ! Would definitely recommend here and will be...More
Having read the good reviews my friend and I decided to try The Allotment for lunch yesterday, Thursday 9th May.

I have visited the allotment on a number of occasions but went last night to try their updated seasonal menu.
I had Moroccan lamb cutlets and they were simply superb. The best lamb I've had in a long time. I would definitely recommend a visit.
The food is freshly cooked, and the atmosphere very friendly in this innovative little restaurant. I had smoked mackerel pate, and linguini with crab. Both were really well made and served with care. We'll be back.

Yes. Vegan shepherds pie is popular and we have cous cous stuffed peppers and 5 bean chilli. There is also our vegetable Wellington which is vegan too. Cake is limited to chocolate cupcake at present. And we stock vegan vanilla ice cream too. We're looking to extend the choices in the new year after the busy Christmas rush!
