We’ve eaten in and taken away from here and we can’t recommend it enough. The food is always top quality, perfectly cooked, tastes amazing and there’s loads of it.
The service we’ve had has always been top notch with no issues and won’t go anywhere else for Turkish food.

Ordered from Dover and collected 3 kebabs. Absolutely gorgeous. The large is really large and so much we had enough for dinner the next day. And we are big eaters! The chicken and lamb kebabs came with rice, a fabulous fresh salad and enormous pita bread as well and chilli sauce and garlic yoghurt. The food was really tasty and we really enjoyed it. We will absolutely use you again and very soon. Only 30 mins from ordering we had our food. Great service and excellent, tasty, authentic Turkish food.

Just had the most amazing take away delivered as our family gathering on mother's day / birthday restaurant booking had to be cancelled due to current situation.
Cannot recommend Aspendos enough food plentiful fresh hot and amazingly tasty.
Please give this place an order you will not be disappointed.
Very very well done,presented And packaged.
Take away as good as eating in the restaurant, top marks

With a heavy heart I write this review as we’ve eaten in the restaurant before but the takeaway we had recently was disappointing.
Ordered the big family feast meal for ÂŁ49 and we were really looking forward to it. Quantity wise it was good but quality not so.
The lamb chops and ribs were so tough they were inedible and other than the chicken it was all rather samey and bland.
Prior to this review I had contacted the restaurant to express these concerns and hopefully have these addressed but nothing.
Shame really as eaten in a number of their places but this has really soured previous visits and can’t see us going back. £50 is a fair old lump of money for what is a kebab meal but on this occasion it missed the mark by a wide margin and the follow up communication is equally woeful.

Have bought from Aspendos 3-4 times and food has always been lovely, and lots of it. However the last occasion when the food arrived it was cold. Spending ÂŁ40 I expected the food to be warmer on arrival, I don't expect to have to heat the food up in the microwave. Microwave chips are not the best! When I called to politely advise of this the male at the end of the phone was immediately defensive and aggressive. When I asked to speak to the manager he advised he was! Really surprised that they have someone as aggressive as this representing the establishment. He offered a discount when I next made a purchase, however because of his aggression I declined as I wouldn't order from them again. Manners do not cost anything and clearly this male doesn't have any. Its a shame this has happened as I've previously been impressed by this company, however the tone and attitude of the manager really let's it down and I won't be returning.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday. They accommodated 9 adults and children at short notice.
Staff friendly and attentive but did
not give any advise on the size of the dishes when taking our orders.
The food was great. But for 6 adults and two children, we completely over ordered. We ordered 2 hot, 2 cold mezza starters. They were fab but far too much. Theyn we ordered individual mains, each was
enough for 2 people.
When i gave the manager feedback about the food portions ( the service and food were great but could the wait staff not inform the customers of the size of the plates?)
He said that the owners had told the staff not too?!!
Once our meal had been served, we ordered more drinks and although there were four staff members behind the bar, we had still not received our drinks after 20 minutes.
I really want to rate this restaurant as the food was good and the staff were pleasant, when they remembered the customers!( there were 3 staff that were working their socks off!) while the others had a jolly up behind the bar. Not wearing any masks!!
I would like to pay another visit to this restaurant, now i know what to order, as the food was good. I may wait, i know its unpleasant to have to wear a mask as you work but for now, they are the rules and i am not comfortable in a restaurant that half heartedly follows the guidelines . Also, wants to rip off the customers in order to make up for the losses suffered from covid!!
Really disappointed in this dining experience.

We had previously visited it's namesake in Dover whilst on a business trip but as we were staying in Ashford we decided to give this one a go - I believe it is the same chain. The restaurant is large and open and whilst I would not say that it is particularly warm and cozy it serves it purpose.
The food is utterly amazing and I will one day learn my lesson and not order a starter as the mains are ridiculously big. Unfortunately, as I am so greedy, I ordered the bread with the humous ( a meal in itself) as well as the mixed kebab. Why will I never learn??
Utterly amazing food with portions King Henry the Eighth would not grumble at. I went back twice in a fortnight (each time making the same mistake) and intend to return next week (I'm down on business again) and do exactly the same thing again. I know it's just greed but it's just so good!
My only 'slight' negative is that the bar choice is rather limited when it comes to draft beers. Not the cheapest is Ashford but you get what you pay for.

We have often had takeaways from this restaurant and always been happy with the quality of the food so we thought we would eat in for a change. They fitted a party of five in at very short notice. The downstairs has all of the hustle and bustle of a busy Friday night restaurant from where you can see into the kitchen whilst upstairs where we were seated was an oasis of calm which suited us.Suitably attired waiting staff are friendly and efficient. We started with hot and cold meze and when she saw the size of the main meal we wished we had skipped them albeit that they were quite delicious. For our main course we shared the Aspendos Family Special and wow the amount of food was huge! (We doggy bagged the leftovers.) There were several types of lamb and chicken including Kofte Kebabs, all spiced nicely and very definitely authentically Turkish. It was nicely presented, came on a bed of rice and grains and was served with salad, dips and Turkish bread. One of our party only eats plain foods and she was very happy with the chicken, rice and salad. The prices, I think, are very reasonable and I highly recommend it.

I visited with my partner recently and we both enjoyed our meal. We both had falafel and chicken shish.
The falafel were light and crispy and the hummus was delicious. The complimentary bread, dips and olives were lovely too - some of the best bread I have had in a turkish restaurant.
Be aware however that the portion sizes are HUGE. You don't need a starter at all, though they are nice to have! When the first one came, it had so much chicken on it we assumed it was to share. Having said that, the chicken was lovely and tender and the salad was fresh and crunchy.
I just think it was a bit expensive, they could reduce the amount of meat and then reduce the price accordingly.

First visit..and we were so impressed. We ordered two starters each with a glass of wine. They arrived looking good, the stuffed vine leaves were particularly delicious, and I also liked my large plate of tarator. Great to have Turkish wine also. Staff friendly and very very good service. I really liked this restaurant and can’t wait for Deal to open. The final touch for me was smelling the lemon cologne..such a memory of holidays in Turkey. It may sound rude but I was not expecting it to be as good as this..just excellent !!

We received a warm welcome!
The service was good, friendly staff.
We started with some mezze which wwas delicious. We did not know what to order for the main so decided on a set meal with mixed meats. The meats were very tender and full of flavour. The dish was served with 2 types of rice (way too much) and a side salad.

I have had takeaway from Aspendos Dover before which has been of a high standard. I really enjoyed my first visit to the restaurant. The same great quality food as I expected coupled with friendly service. In addition to the meal we had complimentary bread, dips and olives before the meal. A piece of baklava after the meal, mints and the offer of Turkish delight when leaving.
I had the lamb shish kebab with sauce and yoghurt, huge portion and plenty of meat. Came with cous cous, rice and salad.
Nice clean restaurant, plenty of space between tables and an open kitchen area which really allows the smell of the food the fill the room.

From start to finish, what a great restaurant.
Lovely attentive staff.
The portions are enormous. Everyone who left the restaurant had a goodie bag, no exaggeration.
The complimentary bread, olives and tztaki were a nice touch.
We had the aubergine pate to start. Lovely.
We ordered way too much food which included the hot mixed meze which included halloumi, sucuk and calamari. All nicely cooked.
We continued with mixed kebab which came with rice, bulgar wheat and salad.
Would return for any special meal if it wasn't so far.

One of us is gluten-free, and when we arrived at the restaurant and asked what we could and couldn’t eat, we were told that even the rice and chips were not suitable. Nor falafel. They offered to do a kebab with a plate full of salad, but that does not really make a balanced meal.

Sadly although the staff were quite attentive the food did not live up to expectations. We had the hot mezze to start. Whilst the calamari was great with a light fluffy batter and freshly cooked, the remaining elements were very much luke warm and I felt as if they might have been cooked well before being served to us. It could have been excellent. We then had the bbq lamb ribs which was I suspect made from very poor quality lamb and very chewy and fatty and the vegetarian lasagna which was quite tasty. Each was accompanied by lots of rice and a salad and we had copious amounts of bread to share. One certainly would not have gone away hungry but the quality was lacking. Why too were some of the waiting staff not wearing face masks nor those in the kitchen???
