I have found a super coffee shop in Canterbury. I won't visit any other place now. Super surroundings, lovely people. Love the coffee and you are super dog friendly .

Always visit whenever in Canterbury - lovely location overlooking the river, great quality coffee & wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. Loads of natural light & good atmosphere for socialising or working solo (free wi-fi available). Well worth a visit :)

Popped in whilst during a shopping trip to Canterbury, had a macchiato, hot choc and a lovely slice of orange, carrot and courgette cake... All delicious and consumed looking out over the river. Lovely x

I like to think of myself as a coffee connoisseur but then again, I'm just a normal person who likes coffee. Try this coffeehouse, and you'll become that desired connoisseur. The coffee is of a high quality and really looks professional. I would go for the biggest cup they offer which usually costs under £3. It is small and is... More

Found the coffee shop just by the canal, next to the punting company. We decided to stop for a coffee while waiting for the rain to stop. It was a really good coffee and the atmosphere was lively!

Yes. Possibly one of the best coffee houses in Canterbury. My coconut and blueberry cake seemed to give me a little 'high'. What was in it? Maybe just a little too sweet for my taste, but very nice. Great coffee, an interesting old building and a collection of casual but studious people dotted around. I felt a little intimidated by... More

I popped in and popped out, why you ask, well, this place does the best coffee in town, but on more than 1 occasion it Les starting to smell like the inside of a greasy oily burnt oven. Come on chaps sort it out, get a door or an extractor or something, coffee is an alluring smell, burnt oil is... More

Went here with my wife, family friend and our youngest and had a great experience from the moment we walked through the door. The service was warm and friendly, the service prompt and without fuss. Our Canadian waitress was endearing and helpful with choice and knowledge. Being a special day, the restaurant had laid on a magician which was extremely... More

Great coffee and cakes. Water Lane taught me everything I know about coffee! Knowledgable baristas are always happy to answer questions about the coffee and recommend the best from the menu. Coffee from here is usually naturally quite sweet, which makes it extra delicious. Nice atmosphere, great music and pleasant staff!

Easily the best coffee in Canterbury once you get your head around the alternative way of ordering, coffee is available by size rather than cappuccino, latte etc. I had a "flat white" and an espresso, both delicious, the espresso was surprisingly fruity. My mum and boyfriend had tea which they said was very good. Shop could probably do with more... More
