Stopped in on the way out for dinner...whilst we couldn't set up a tab because it was a Friday (strange reason) the atmosphere is good and there is a fruit machine.

We visited Canterbury for the day and stopped here for lunch. My partner had fish and chips that were quite nice, I ordered steak and mushroom pie. When my meal turned up it was chicken pie which I do not like. I returned it to the bar, they had forgotten the menu had changed and refunded my money. It was... More

Fun little pub off the main tourist streets of Canterbury. Stopped with a mate for a pint and lunch, I had the burger and my friend had the Ploughmans - both were huge servings and delicious! Great spot for a drink, glad I stopped by!

Nice place and staff. A very british pub that travellers must go! Great music on the background while your enjoying a good beer. I would recommend the Aspall cider.

Walked past this place many times and decided to try it. Nice atmosphere, nice music and nice friendly staff. We both got glasses matching the lager we were drinking. We both ordered a sandwich which were freshly made. I had homecooked hem and my boyfriend had bacon and brie. Each came with a side salad which was quite big. Good... More

A traditional English pub with good beer, great staff and nice food. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming. Lunchtime visit, so it was a little quieter than it no doubt is on their numerous live music nights.

There aren't many pubs in Canterbury that welcome dogs but this is one of them. Very quaint with wooden floors, scrubbed wooden tables and chairs, it looks and is very old yet spotlessly clean. Even the toilets which are indeed old are immaculate. There is a good range of beers and the menu looked OK albeit we didn't try the... More
