Perfectly cozy gem in Canters for drinks and lite bites - upstairs functions room, historical feel and charming patio

I've been to the Parrot a few times and enjoyed it but this time I was very disappointed with the food. Also, the staff make you feel like you are not welcome and they are doing you a favour by serving you! Won't be returning anytime soon.

This pub rocks! Great food, cosy atmosphere and great friendly staff. The food here is sensational and I'm glad I made the effort to come for dinner. I had a beer here at 4pm and it didn't look all that great, but we came back at dinner time and the atmosphere had totally changed and the food was phenomenal! Definitely... More

Lovely pub with friendly staff. Take in the cathedral and town then dine in a pub that has welcomed pilgrims for nearly 650 years. We've been twice this year, once in Feb and then in July for my son's graduation. Splendid - going back soon.

We had a great meal in this lovely old pub. A local recommended it as it's off the tourist track. The posh fish fingers and tartare sauce were extremely good and filling. My husband enjoyed the local ale.

We always sit in the garden which is very nice! Very colourful though not very enlighten at night. The food is amazing, I had the devilled crab twice and it's always devine. I really love the place and the workers there are very friendly.

Five of us went for a late lunch at this charming establishment. We ate in the garden patio area. Food is ordered at the bar. my wife and Father in-law had the Posh Fish Fingers & Chips. It was very nice and tasty. I had the huge burger & chips and struggled to finish it. Excellent service from the staff.... More

We discovered the Parrot on our tour of Canterbury. It was near a remnant of the old Roman wall and was built back in 1370. The service was really friendly and it was lovely speaking to the waiters and the manager about the restaurant. The food was great - the posh fish fingers and the three fish pie were excellent.... Family visit for six of us. We mostly had their 'sizzler' options which we all enjoyed, nicely presented on trays of wood. The service was friendly and efficient and the food all arrived at once. Nice unhurried atmosphere. And good Beer!!

Thank M B
