We were taken here by a friend who lives in canterbury even though it wouldn't have been my first choice as generally not very impressed with pub grub as it really can be hit and miss. The 3 members of staff that looked after us were really friendly and the service was spot on. The food was very good quailty... More

Booked a table with friends for a birthday. Nice table. Drinks arrived promptly as did the food. All the starters were lovely I chose the scotch eggs which was superb nice and moist. They had run out of the sizzler dishes so chose the chicken and ham pie and even managed a sweet! A little pricey but worth paying

Visiting Canterbury for the first time we were stunned by the beauty of the place and the quality of the pubs! For us the jewel in the crown was The Parrot...What better way to while away a lunchtime, sipping great beer and wine in historic surroundings with convivial company-fabulous... Returning for an evening meal we were beaten by the portions of... More

The Parrot, a 14th century Pub, is set on a winding narrow street straight out of Chaucer, with an entry that is darkly warm and inviting, everything an English Pub should be. Met friends upstairs for an extended Happy Hour on my one evening in Canterbury. The wait staff was very nice and responded promptly to our drink requests and... More

Very authentic British pub with very friendly staff and decent food. Great value for money. The pulled pork dish is great and the classic burger also very good. We had the last table on a Friday, so book I advance

Great old history but mediocre food. Loved the upstairs which reminds me of hunters coming in with wolf hounds after killing a stag
